“For Religious Reasons”

The phrase “For religious reasons” (or “protection”) is getting used by many. We hear of decisions and behaviors, and then hear these acts are done “for religious reasons.”

Christ tells of a story related to this and related to His comment, “Love your neighbor as yourself.”, when asked “Who is our neighbor?”

Luke 10:30 – And Jesus answering said, A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among thieves, which stripped him of his raiment, and wounded him, and departed, leaving him half dead.

31 And by chance there came down a certain priest that way: and when he saw him, he passed by on the other side.

32 And likewise a Levite, when he was at the place, came and looked on him, and passed by on the other side.

33 But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was: and when he saw him, he had compassion on him,

34 And went to him, and bound up his wounds, pouring in oil and wine, and set him on his own beast, and brought him to an inn, and took care of him.

35 And on the morrow when he departed, he took out two pence, and gave them to the host, and said unto him, Take care of him; and whatsoever thou spendest more, when I come again, I will repay thee.

36 Which now of these three, thinkest thou, was neighbor unto him that fell among the thieves?

37 And he said, He that shewed mercy on him. Then said Jesus unto him, Go, and do thou likewise.

The Samaritan didn’t act “for religious reasons” but showed mercy. The priest and Levite who passed the injured guy by, in effect were demonstrating actions taken “for religious reasons,” and chose not to help him.

Christ’s life wasn’t what it was “for religious reasons”. Christ’s life wasn’t about honoring “the religion”, or acting “for religious reasons”. His decisions and actions were regardless of “the religious reasons” because God (the source of mercy, forgiveness, Loving kindness, and understanding) is beyond religions. Religions are simply established ways of believing, which mankind has assembled together in hopes of learning ever more.

We humans go to war for religious reasons, and have done so for centuries if not millennium. Mankind has innumerable examples throughout recorded history of the willingness to kill one another for religious reasons. ISIL kills for religious reasons.

For centuries and millennium, people have been acting against one another “for religious reasons”. When we decide to act to separate ourselves from an act of good will or mercy, and instead act to protect our own sense of our religious beliefs, we are placing our own sense of our self before our neighbor’s well being. No one has ever been heard saying, “for reasons of compassion and oneness, I’m going to distance myself from helping another human being.”

When we decide to act “for religious reasons”, we’re not necessarily acting for the best reasons, sometimes we’re acting for the worst reasons as if we were to say, “God, it’s more important for me to go to heaven than for me to help someone else.” Religions are not higher than loving kindness, or patience, or understanding. Religions are not greater than God. Religions are meant to help us to come to know God.

We have even made religion a god, if that is possible to do. We have made our beliefs into our God – holding our beliefs to be more important than oneness and mercy towards our neighbor. Christ’s message all along has been that our Oneness with God is paramount and our Oneness with one another (our neighbor) is even more important than our beliefs.

By saying, ‘I’m choosing this for religious reasons,’ we’re not saying, ‘I’m doing this for forgiveness reasons.’ It’s not the same. I’ve never heard anyone who said “for religious reasons” also say, “I’m doing this for patience reasons, or reasons of loving kindness, or reasons of compassion or brotherhood.”

The actions of the Samaritan spoke loudly, “I’m doing this for reasons of compassion.”

Jesus chose to live his entire life, not “for religious reasons” but “for reasons of God’s Love”.

Holding Our Beliefs

What we believe about life – the different beliefs we have about the different parts of life – are exactly that – beliefs. Just because we believe something doesn’t in any way make it true – it just makes it what we believe.  Likewise, just because we don’t believe something doesn’t mean it’s not true. Beliefs, the same as others’ and different than others’, exist in our life and in amongst people of the Earth whose numbers are in the billions. We carry thousands of beliefs with us every day. Our learning involves letting go of many beliefs in exchange for other beliefs and for greater understanding and realizations.

We struggle to hold onto our beliefs, and sometimes need great and painful experiences to break them free of our hold upon them. We easily can look across society that we live in and see beliefs that we held that are crumbling for some, which others hold onto still with seemingly iron grips.  (It’s always easier to see this with others rather than ourselves, isn’t it.)

For ourselves we can take the steps to ask – What do we still believe that is challenged/questioned by ourselves or others? Is there a greater understanding that is trying to break through the cement of our mind like a flower that tries to break through asphalt in a  driveway?

Racism, sexism, all the -isms are just beliefs that we held onto, which took great pain and suffering to break up within our consciousnesses.  Prejudices of many kinds and across all differences are simply – beliefs.  Today, we still have some of these -isms and prejudices in our beliefs.

And still, we all have beliefs that we will hold onto. Like the belief that we’ve already learned the lessons of life and don’t need to learn anything else.  A lot of us have this one.

Why do we have such trouble with letting go of beliefs?  One of the many reasons is because our beliefs are about who we think we, ourselves, are as a person. We are invested in our own view of ourselves.  We “believe” that we will be either rewarded or punished in some form or fashion, based on our self-view and our self-view is based on beliefs.

We also have a huge number of beliefs about love.  We believe that we’ll be loved more if we’re one way or another.  How many times have we believed that we’d be loved more if we were prettier or richer or thinner or younger or had different body shapes or any number of other circumstances of which we aren’t?

In addition, we believe that we’ll be able to love someone else more if that someone else is some different way or another.  We’ve also told ourselves this belief.  “I would love him/her more if only they were more X, Y or Z. ”  This belief is so common and we’ve all held this belief.

Beliefs are chosen of our own freewill – regularly.  We choose the beliefs we believe.  And the beliefs we choose are as transient as life is.  Our different beliefs come and go.  Sometimes, we are completely unaware that we’ve believed one way at one point and another way at another point.  Sometimes we’re unaware that we’ve changed beliefs during the same day.  No person has the same beliefs they had when they were children and no adult will keep all the beliefs they have during their entire lifetime as an adult.  With having thousands and maybe even millions of beliefs throughout our life, we’re going to do some changing and we won’t even notice.  This is another reason why Christ never condemned anyone’s religions or beliefs.  He criticized the espousing of beliefs without living by them.  He criticized hypocrisy.

This is also why the greatest issue isn’t what we believe, but rather what we motivate ourselves to do with our beliefs.  Do we choose beliefs for the purpose of bringing forth cooperation and unity?  Or do we choose our beliefs to raise ourselves up and put others down?  Do we believe what we believe to help heal and support others or rather to criticize others and point out their faults?   Do we believe as we do to bring forth our love, or to bring forth our hate?  If it’s not one, it’s the other.

You can be assured that while we may not always know the answer to these questions – others who witness how we live our life, others who know us, and who observe us and observe how we live related to our beliefs – they definitely know what we do with our beliefs, don’t they.  Our actions speak volumes on what we really believe vs what we tell ourselves that we believe.

Remember, the beliefs that we speak but don’t live will be gone as soon as we close the door behind us, and the beliefs that we live our life by, will teach us great things.   Just keep an open mind so that you can  recognize the time to change what you believe when the time comes.  And believe me – that time will come.

PS. One side note:  Look at how much misinformation is out in the world.  Are you immune to misinformation?  And the misinformation that has been happening for centuries and millennium?  Do you believe human beings today only finally discern everything that is true and everything that is not true?

It matters more what we do with our beliefs – how we live our life with the beliefs we have – than the details of what we believe.

“Astral City: A Spiritual Journey”

I’ve had requests for the title of the movie, “Astral City”, which I mentioned during a recent retreat/conference at which I attended and spoke.  It chronicles the experiences of Andre Luiz, after his death, and also parallels Echo Bodine’s Out-of-Body experience which she writes of in her book, “Echoes of the Soul”.

The movie is taken from the book of the same name written in 1944 by Francisco Cândido Xavier.  The Wikipedia link:  Astral_City:_A_Spiritual_Journey.  The Youtube preview: Astral City: A Spiritual Journey.

I do recommend watching it.

The Conflict between Science and Religion and Religion and Religion

America is very big on religions. In fact, sometimes it’s as if we turn everything into a religion when the opportunity arises. Instead of saying “I don’t understand how it could be true, but I’m open to it being possible” so many of us say, “It’s not part of my beliefs – what I’ve gotten from sources (including religions), therefore it’s not true.” What religions am I referring to? I’m referring to everything that enters the mind of Man -including the religion of politics, the religion of science, the religion of medicine, the religion of technology, psychology, philosophy, and even mathematics!  (Yes, I’m even including Atheism – but that’s easy to see.)

Have you heard someone say either of these – the equivalent of words that mean “It’s not part of the science that I know of, therefore I don’t believe it.” or “It’s not part of the medical knowledge that I know of, therefore there’s no way it can be possible.”  I have.  Then, all we have to do is exchange the words ‘science’ for ‘religion’ and vice versa, and we recognize the comment.

In fact, at times we’ve even heard the equivalent of “You believing differently than this is you being gullible, misguided, delusional, or outright fraudulent.”

This is widespread, and it shows that the person saying something to this effect has turned their beliefs and knowledge into a religion.

We’ve heard so often when people have said the equivalent to “It’s not part of my religious beliefs, therefore I don’t believe it-therefore you shouldn’t either, because only my beliefs are the truth.” We see examples of this in the U.S. and all around the world.

We also have people who have turned science, medicine and all the rest into religions, as well. Yet, it’s not just a current happening. This very process has been part of mankind for millennium.

Instead of considering that it’s our own knowledge and understanding that falls short, we tend to carry out the religious ritual of pointing to others saying the equivalent to “You’re wrong to believe differently than me. My knowledge may as well be sacred.”

Since this is very easy to see when looking at history, we don’t think of it as being a current process in our society. But, it’s happening now just as often as it ever has been. It’s just that we don’t think to put it in the context of science, medicine, technology or the rest, during today’s time. Too bad, because these have been religions for a long time. It always been the heretics of these “religions” that put forth the idea that “there is something beyond what we believe is true.”  (Heretics like the Wright Brothers and Albert Einstein who pursued what others believed wasn’t true, and oh, yeah – Jesus Christ.)

Yet, bridging what we know and what we don’t know has been a tremendously difficult bridge to build. Why? Because both sides of the bridge have held strongly to that which we know or believe to be possible only, and fought hard against that which we don’t know and don’t believe being possible.

It is rare that people speaking for religions ever make the comment “My beliefs are beliefs, not necessarily proven facts.” It is rare that science or medicine or even technology ever make the comment, “We’ve found this small part to be true, but we don’t know if it could also be false or if anything else in opposition to this or outside this paradigm that we’ve never conceptualized is true or not.”

It is rare that people entrenched in their beliefs say, “I don’t know how my beliefs can mesh with opposing beliefs, opposing knowledge, factual science, but I’m open to both being true somehow.” It’s rare when people representing science and medicine say, “I don’t know how things we haven’t proven may possibly be true, but I’m open to they being possible.”

Instead, we get, people saying “Science is the truth and anything else is a delusion.” We get, people saying “This medical information is true and anything else is fraud.” We get people saying, “My religious beliefs are true, and I won’t consider anything else possible.”

The Saving Grace

The world doesn’t revolve around any persons or groups who may be stuck in their own religion whether it’s traditional religions, Scientific, Medical, Technological or any other belief or knowledge system. The Earth is inhabited by more heretics than fanatics – more open minded people than close-minded people.  These heretics are saying, “There’s more than what you espouse to be true.  You have no belief or knowledge that is omniscient and complete. ”  Thank God.

PS.  Can you see how Politics has become a religion?  How about how “beliefs about money” has become a Religion?

‘The Horrible News’ or ‘How to Save a Planet’

A friend asks, “What do we do with all the horrible news?”  I’m going to consider this a question about the news we hear around the world on the television, the news we read about in newspapers and on the Internet – news about wars, governments, disasters, pain, suffering, suicides, etc., and etc, and etc.

First, I will absolutely agree with anyone who says it can be and is overwhelming.  It is frustrating to hear all this news.  It is discouraging, sometimes bringing us to grief and despair even wondering how this world can be so full of insanity and horrors.  It can and does move us to feel sorrow for human beings, including ourselves.  It brings forth our pain, and can bring us to feel depressed, afraid, ever doubtful, and wondering if we should give up at even trying to offer some help.   After all, how can one person even make a dent in the insanity and horrors that is reported in the news every day.

If you feel anything like these feelings, just know you’re not alone.  Being on a planet where all these things happen, generating all these feelings is a most truly difficult and challenging thing.  Many of us succumb to the shear weight of the sorrow, pain, suffering, insanity and daily news.

However,…

I know of no soul that came into this planet that did not come with a purpose – the purpose of moving forward in their soul’s growth.   Yet, it is not difficult to lose being on the path of one’s soul’s growth.  All we have to do is think of our own benefit and well-being as being more important than anyone else’s.  All we have to do to get off our path is be selfish and putting our self first.  See?  That’s how easy it is.

And we’ve all done it.  We’ve all acted selfishly in small ways and sometimes in great huge ways.  If you doubt that you’ve ever done anything on the same level that you see on the news, then just look at your past lives.  Don’t remember them?  Guess why.

How do we get back on the path?  This is the challenge of any of the souls that want to move ourselves, our species, and our planet forward.

We start with prayer and meditation.  Or we can start with prayer by itself.  Or we can start with meditation by itself.  In both of these, we send out our call to God to help the life/lives on this planet.  Why start this way?  Because, to save a planet, we need unity and purpose.  We need guidance and love.  We need fortitude and persistence.  We get all of this and more when God is involved with us, and the One called on to help us.

When we hear the news stories, not that many people use it as a call to prayer, but that’s what it is.  We are being told of who needs our prayers and who needs Light sent to them.

Sure, everyone around the globe needs prayers and everyone around the globe needs Light and energy sent to them.   But, I caution anyone to think that they and they alone are the ones to save those poor souls.

Remember, souls are here to work on ourselves, and we have many lifetimes to grow, learn and work on ourselves.  We have been given freewill and we use it many times to decide to not grow, not learn and not work on ourselves.  These are decisions that humans make.  And we see the result of these decisions impacts in the world.  However, at the same time, we can and do also see the results of when we, (of our own freewill) choose to learn, to grow, to work on ourselves – to be kind to someone, to forgive someone, to be patient with someone, to be more understanding of someone, to show mercy to someone.

It is unfortunate that we don’t yet have news casts that report on where our prayers have helped.  No newscaster reports, “The prayers of last week helped the country of …. when they had to face ….”  Maybe one day.

For anyone who is willing, we are here to strive, to dig in, to bring forth that Light that helps to change whole planets.  We are here to do that which we are doing – bring forth change.  And we do that by changing ourselves, first.   We do this by leaning on each other.  We do this by needing each other.  We do this by helping each other.  We are not here to coast or tread water, or to sleep away the life we live.  We – a certain number of us – have chosen to go forward – to wake up – and not go back to sleep.

We do this all within the context of cooperating with God, because in truth, it is the Spirit of Infinite Love that we have inside our hearts – sometimes without remember this.  It is the Spirit of Infinite Forgiveness that helps us to see beyond anyone’s actions to them still being a soul that needs help in some way.  It is in the Spirit of Infinite Patience that helps us to wake up in the morning and start thinking, “What can I do on this one day that may help one person?”  Maybe, we’ll say the prayer, “God, help me remember you, today.  Help me remember Love, today.  Help me remember kindness, today.  Help me remember who I am, today.  Today, God, help me remember that I love.”

Through this, we move forward one day at a time.  It has always been thus, and it will always be thus.  And it won’t all happen in one lifetime.

So, to answer the question, “What do we do with all the horrible news?” – perhaps it is a call for prayers – prayers like, “God, what can I do to help You with Your work of Loving?”

Prejudice of Ages

How silly humanity in general has been with so many years of prejudice against people involved in interracial marriages, same sex marriages, cross-cultural marriages, mixed political marriages, this or that marriage, and on and on and on.

Unlearning prejudice found in any human experience or human arena is a slow process.  The prejudices come from learned fears, from desire to fit in, from the desire to be loved and approved from those who are supposed to love us, and from our own past life experiences with different races and subcultures – whether those past experiences are cooperative or combative.

Many, many, many, many times, the prejudice and hatred comes from past life connections where there are still grudges and resentments towards a particular group or people.  Acts like “raids on groups”, raiding, pillaging and killing in wars, make for many prejudices.  All races and groups have been targeted at some time in some way, and many different groups have been slaves or bought and sold. Sometimes, in human history all that was required to be enslaved was to be defeated in battle.

Many groups have been perceived as second class, lower class, or lower caste, and these experiences sometimes are hard to go through.  Still others use these experiences to justify their vendetas, grudges or resentments or even to build new ones.

So, it will take time for prejudice to heal.  Since it can come from very real damage and harm done to each other in the past.  And each person will have to resolve it in their own time within their own heart, mind and soul.  Do you think?  This is also a contributing factor in the Middle Eastern conflicts and in the attack of 9-11.

What is interesting is that there is no one on this planet that has NOT experienced being on the receiving end of prejudice.  Everyone has, whether based on race, religion, gender, financial situation, spiritual belief, disability, weight, physical features, ethnicity, sexual preference, sometimes their job, etc.  And I say this regardless of whether we may see how that possibly could be true “for that other person over there who looks way better off than I am.” (Having this thought is a symptom of prejudice.)

I can go into a room of any number of people and show you how each person has been singled out in at least 3 different ways, just by being who they are.  Women, men, black, white, brown, red, Hispanic, Asian, European, Native American, Christians, Jews, Muslims, tall, short, small, large – no group has been free from being on the receiving end of hatred, disrespect, fear, attack, ridicule, different types of abuse and the like because of their group – even psychics.  Yes, there are groups that have predominately received recent prejudice, but all groups of peoples and different subcultures have received it at some time in the past, and even now in the present.

Prejudice has been the source of much human pain and suffering.  Pain and suffering is something that no human ever escapes.  Jesus Christ didn’t escape pain and suffering then or now, and Robin Williams didn’t escape pain and suffering, either.  Pray for all who suffer – whether on this side of the veil or the other.  When we are in pain and suffering, we tend to strike out at whomever we think is the cause.  This is the birth of prejudice.  Pray for all who are in pain.

Today

There are questions that come forth about “What will happen -when or if- this or that comes true as predicted or speculated?”

While these questions can be useful up to a point, it is best for them to be the last questions to ask.  The better question always to ask is a question for us to best ask ourselves, because we ourselves are the ones that know the answers.

“What are we doing TODAY to bring forth the Christ Spirit in our lives and the lives of those we come in contact with?”  As Jesus said, “Do not worry about tomorrow.  Let tomorrow worry about itself.  Deal with today.” Matthew 6:25-34.

The questions of today are way more important to ask. Whether we brought pain and suffering to someone or whether we helped lift someone up, the question is here to ask.

Who is in our life that needs understanding and compassion, TODAY?
or Who were we rude to, or mean to or hurtful to, TODAY?
Who needs a kind word, TODAY?
or Who were we judgmental towards, TODAY?
Who can we forgive TODAY?
or Who’s life did we add pain and suffering to, TODAY?
Who can we show mercy towards TODAY?
or Who did we insult or show disrespect – TODAY?
Who can we pray for, TODAY?
or Who did we hate, TODAY?
Who can we help, TODAY?
Who needs our patience, TODAY?
Who needs gentle kindness, TODAY?
Who did we give a demonstration of love to, TODAY?

If it’s the future or phenomenon, or drama, or amazing and strange earthly occurances that we seek, then these are here today and gone tomorrow.  We more often treat them only as entertainment – and not anything that sways beliefs or actions. But, the acts of understanding, compassion, kindness, forgiveness, mercy and love are the miracles that are capable of changing – lifting up – lives, forever.

Question of 8-2-2014: The Rapture

What do you mean by this? “I do not see it as a literal event on the planet Earth. But, I do see it as a personal experience awaiting those who seek to open to greater awareness of one’s relationship to God, oneself and others.” C. (See the comments of “Prayer, Meditation, Edgar Cayce and Hurricanes” for the subject matter topic.)

Everyone on Earth has different beliefs.  This is because everyone is different.  No two lives are the same and no experience means the same thing to any two people.  You’re beliefs are yours, which you’ve developed throughout your life.  In addition to that, you don’t have the same beliefs that you had when you were 6 years old or any other age, and you will adjust or change beliefs as you continue to live your life.  You have already and you will continue.  This is the way life is for everyone.

So…I mean that when I look psychically, I do not see this event, as believed and defined by people holding this set of beliefs, to occur on the planet Earth in the form that is readily believed and defined by those people holding to these beliefs.  I see a continuation of life on Earth for generations and generations with the normal human need for learning and growth carrying on.

I see the continuation of life on Earth for generations so as to allow even greater opportunities to open both minds and hearts to an ever expanding awareness of the “world in which we live.”  I see a continuation of the social, spiritual, community, and mental and emotional evolutions in the same way that mankind has been growing and evolving for centuries and centuries.  I also see a God with Infinite Patience for all of us.  I see God’s Infinite Patience being a foundation for His helping us to grow in our awareness of the true relationship we have with each other and Him.

Finally, I see what many term “The Rapture” as being a decidedly inner experience and not a physical experience.  I see this being a consciousness experience happening on one’s own road to greater awareness of one’s self and one’s relationship to God and all life.  It is an experience that happens at the “individual” level, because every individual is different and in a different place on their path to greater awareness.  And in this definition, I reiterate that there are no shortcuts to greater awareness of our relationship to God, to one another and all life.  The “Rapture” does not release anyone from the inner work of healing all these relationships.  This must be done.  This inner work is the work of forgiveness, mercy, loving kindness, patience, tolerance, understanding, etc. and etc.

This is what I mean.   I hope this helps.

And on the higher side….

Sometimes, what I add via the blogs can be so heavy.  It’s certainly a time of some serious s*#t.  But, at the same time, I want to remind everyone of the true and real progress that we continue with.  We may not always see it, but as my friend, Nancy K. regularly reminds me, the efforts we put forth join with the efforts of others and on and on, and move the entire planet forward to ever increasing greater and higher vibrations and spiritual awareness.

Oh, sure, we also see “low vibration” activities – destruction, hatred, prejudice, greed, violence – so many ways to create non-love based experiences for people and the Earth.  And these we will see more of, but there is no failure for those who are determined to succeed – and use patience and persistence to succeed – keep on keeping on – take it one day at a time, keep putting one foot forward, take one more step, and every other cliche I can remember along these same lines.

The entire Galaxy is supporting our efforts to raise the vibrations of this planet.  And other Galaxies besides ours are sending us their support and high vibrations.  What we can do is to put into action, the type of action that we want a high-vibration planet to be about.  The Earth is as we create it – collectively.  Put another way, the Earth is as we heal it.

Marijuana and the Soul

The controversy continues and I’m going to add what I see psychically.  I don’t read all the research or comments about marijuana use.  But, I do look at it psychically.  This is the work I do, so this is what I present.

***      The use of drugs to expand the mind:  Many may support this, because it can bring about an experience for the person something beyond the current day-to-day consciousness.  However, there is an imbalance that occurs within the psyche from the experiencing of altered states without true spiritual growth while not in altered states.  Opening the mind can be truly fraught with serious minefields that were put there by the person, them-self.   The subconscious is full of behaviors, thoughts and memories, etc. which are still unresolved and unbalanced. Entering into altered states without also being willing to resolve and balance what is within the psyche while not in altered states leads to potentially serious mental problems and even death, as so many of us have witnessed.

The balanced growth into altered states can only move forward or grow greater with a foundation of character changes towards others and happening within the heart.  Balanced changes are the increased reliance in relationships on forgiveness, understanding, faith, cooperation, loving kindness, mercy unselfishness and the like.  These changes are also the facing of one’s own subconscious patterns in a way that brings insight into one’s own motivating reasons for these behavioral and psychological patterns.  The use of drugs to have an altered state experience does nothing for developing the foundation for better relationships with the people in one’s own life, or expanding the heart or strengthening the personal will towards fulfilling our soul purpose or soul evolution.   Likewise, they do not give one the will to explore the inner person’s own personal issues.  The use of these drugs for the expansion experience will create a greater imbalance and eventually this greater imbalance is witnessed as the drugs begin to damage the person and their psyche.

*      Each person is a spirit inhabiting a physical body using the brain and nervous systems to activate the body and thus live in this physical world.  Marijuana blocks the individual spirit’s ability to use the brain as its channel for being actively engaged through the body.  Yes, it can be used as a medicine to relieve pain.  But, its pain relief ability happens because of the spirit consciousness no longer consciously being in touch with the pain in the damaged body – which is the normal function of pain killers.

Some report they experience heightened physical sensations.  The sometimes heightened physical sensations that are perceived to happen, come from a now concentrated focus on that remaining physical stimulus, but without the previous total physical stimulus being part of the conscious awareness anymore.  Anyone who is psychic, and happens to be in the company of someone who is smoking marijuana will find that there is a very marked and noticeable difference inside the body of the person who has smoked, during the time of marijuana’s influence.  The spirit of the person is blocked by the chemicals from being fully in the body.  So, in essence, there is almost no one there, and the psychic is seemingly alone even though there is another physical  “body” in the room.

*      The principle of marijuana’s effects can be compared to the use of alcohol to warm the body when cold.  Alcohol doesn’t warm the body; it brings the body’s temperature down closer to the cold outer temperature.  Because the difference in temperatures between the body and the air surrounding them becomes less, this “feels” like the body just got warmer, when in fact, the body’s actual temperature got colder.

Drugs inhibit the “volume” of spirit consciousness able to access this physical world through the physical brain.  The normal expansive consciousness capable of addressing many aspects of the physical world at one time (via the consciousness, the subconscious and the superconscious,) is no longer able to access and assimilate these many aspects of the physical world through the brain at the previous level it had been assimilating.  The remaining spirit consciousness awareness that is able to get through the brain, is noticed more strongly as being “the conscious mind”.  However, there is actual less “whole consciousness” coming through the brain.  This contributes to the perception and labeling of the “noticed consciousness” as being heightened in the senses.  But, in reality, there is less consciousness of all parts of consciousness manifesting in the physical realm, rather than “more” consciousness of the daily conscious.

To try to understand this better, consider this metaphor.  If we had 10 water sources coming into our city (our normal full multi-level conscious intake of activity in the world, including the daily consciousness, the subconscious and the superconscious), but then shut off 9 of them, we would then experience a more focused attention and heightened awareness of the 1 left available.

Another metaphor – if we had 10 highways to serve rush hour traffic throughout the city, but then closed 9 of them, all focus and attention by drivers would go to the 1 left open – thus “a heightened sense of awareness” of the one that is left available.

****

While many consider the marijuana disconnect to the world we live in to be harmless, it does not bring with it greater understanding of our own self, our own subconscious, or our own psyche.  Nor does it enhance the spirit individual being fully in their physical body – a normally recognized grounded state.  The Marijuana state of mind – not being fully in the body- is definitely not the same as the “grounded state” – being fully in the body.

Nor does it open the heart chakra to have any greater care, concern, love or compassion for the other people in one’s life in order to help develop our relationships with others, our self and with God.   Many times it’s exactly the opposite.  The sometimes perceived expansion of consciousness which seems to be gained is imbalanced.  The soul cannot move forward when in an unbalanced state otherwise even greater damage/imbalance occurs.  Therefore, the soul must at some point, eventually return to begin again at the same starting place in order to find a balanced path to walk.

Still, I am a supporter of medical uses of drugs for helping the sick, including marijuana as medicine, and will continue to support the medical use of drugs.

Predictions for Weather for the Remainder of 2014 – #18

As the winter of 2014 comes to an end, (April in the most northern parts, May in areas like Maine,) the energy and forces will come back into a balance, and in general, across the nation we will see more towards the average weather patterns of the last 5-6 years.  We will not see the weather patterns of 3, 4, or 5 decades ago, anymore – not in our lifetime.

As the winter slowly ends, there will be fewer extreme events for the nation as a whole for the rest of 2014. This is the general prediction for all areas.  We will be back in what can be termed as “average” weather, or rather the new term – “the new normal” for each area. This includes all the mixes of weather that have been in each area over the last 5-6 years.

I know this is not a cheerful prediction.   The positive side of this is that we can, if we’re willing, adapt and live productively through these challenging times.  Some of us have memories how things were different, and so we can compare the two eras.  But, those of us who are younger know this time only, and so come into this time willing to look for and create new ways to live productively.   In the decades ahead, we also will see many new ways of facing life’s challenges.  There will be opportunities in every arena of life – for creativity, cooperation, acceptance, tolerance, imagination, support, innovation, respect, leadership, unselfish sharing, and so much more – in every area of human life.   We will be witness to some of this, and if we’re willing, we also can bring some of this into existence for ourselves, and those with whom we have contact or come into contact.

It is always our choice on how we respond within our own lives.

The Regeneration of Mankind

The Regeneration of Mankind has begun.  It extends to all mankind.  Several principles are active during this regeneration:

Those who create the problems are given the task of fixing the problems.  Everyone has done this in present and past lives.  The problems we find ourselves in the middle of – those are the problems we are to face and do our best to help.  Many times problems are the result of many, many people and can only be resolved and helped by many, many people.  We are here to do that part that we, ourselves, can help with.

Forgiveness is an act of regeneration.  The deeper in our consciousness the forgiveness happens, the deeper the regeneration. The more comprehensive the forgiveness, the more comprehensive the regeneration.  There are many more factors within forgiveness that are still to be learned.

Regeneration is for all life.

Regeneration comes through Christ (the Christ, The Christ Spirit, The Christ Consciousness)

Criticism, judgment, condemnation blocks regeneration and motivates destructive actions against others.

Regeneration is a “generation after generation” process, meaning it will happen through generational progressions.  This also means that many will struggle against it as part of the process.  But, because it will extend through many, many generations, all will be given all methods available to them for when they choose for themselves.

No one person will understand all of regeneration or what it entails.

Each person’s path of Regeneration will be unique to themselves.

Threat to Psychics?

My pastor has had a very strong vision, that one day, those of us known as psychics, although we are all in some form or potentially, might become in danger or threatened. That we might have to communicate telepathically. She said this is a strong possibility. Have you foreseen anything in this way? Also our church has a prayer energy group for world peace and love. Do you know of a group(s) that is doing this that I may connect with to do with? As in a regular schedule? Thank you.

Response:

The vision is not going to be a worldwide experience in our time or even in this century.  It is going to manifest as internal feelings of prejudice by some, but not by all.  But, remember, if you change the word “psychic” to any of today’s oppressed groups, you would easily have a true statement.  In this same way, prejudice and hatred has manifested towards women, blacks, immigrants, the poor, homosexuals, those with AIDS, Jews, this religion or that, this race or that, this lifestyle or that, and any number of other cultural groups.  In our world, we still have slavery, abuse, bigotry, hatred, genocide, wars and the like and all because one sub-culture or nationality doesn’t like another.  It is also now and has been in the past, towards those dealing with psychic ability, “occult”, the “New Age” and the like.  Remember Salem, Mass. in the early colonial times?

Currently, in the world, many forms of prejudice come forth, are known and are practiced.  As time continues, our current society slowwwwwwwly grows out of these prejudices.  But, it’s slow and sometimes change doesn’t happen until those that encourage the ways of past hatred pass on.

PS.  As for prayer groups, if you’re church doesn’t have one yet, it’s time to start one.  You may be surprised who else is waiting for it to be started, so they can join.

Truth and Enlightenment

It is the worker bees that will bring this transformation about. It is the laborers.  It isn’t about spouting the enlightenment language or thinking the enlightenment thoughts or reading the enlightenment books or hiring psychics or eating macrobiotically.  It isn’t about being vegetarian or going to church or doing yoga or anything else.

It’s about going into the septic tank and cleaning out the feces and urine that has been inside our own self for lifetime after lifetime.  It’s about going into our own subconscious that we’re deathly afraid of and vehemently denying, and looking face to face with our own prejudice and hatred of others, dishonesty and contempt, judgement and bitterness, lies and deceit, violence and harm to ourselves and others.  It’s about looking at our self in the mirror and knowing that we’ve contributed to the suffering, pain, and death in our lives and other’s lives….
and then deciding to hold all that manure and sewage in our hands, take it to the sink and start washing.

This is because our love for God, our love for our self and our love for others is what it is that is underneath the sewage as we wash it.

If we’re not willing to do this, instead if we’re telling ourselves that we are an enlightened being, if we’re speaking the language but not working on the sewage inside ourselves (including telling ourselves it doesn’t exist), and believe me, there are many people who fit this description, we will return our next life and not have this so called enlightenment with us.  Instead, we’ll be back living from our own prejudice and hatred, dishonesty and contempt, judgement and bitterness, lies and deceit, violence and harm to others.  We will be once more the ones who cause suffering, pain and death to others, because we chose not to go into our own selves – into our own subconscious and self-centeredness to clean up the sewage that is shunted aside.

Anyone who says this is not the case, is selling something.  Enlightenment has no shortcuts – none.  Evolving has no shortcuts.  We face our self or we don’t grow.  We face our selfishness, our self-centeredness, our suffering and pain, we labor, we work, or else we accomplish nothing that will last beyond this particular life.  We face these by offering patience, by forgiving, by understanding, by extending mercy, by letting go of criticism and condemning others and ourselves.  We face these by responding with fruits of the Spirit rather than inflicting the same harm and selfishness, impatience, judgement, resentment, bitterness and attacks.

The sewage we do wash inside ourselves now – this life – will have been washed and not be with us the next life, and instead will serve as stepping stones and foundations to climb higher.

However, that which we do not clean up, will not go away.  We may not admit it to ourselves.  It may be buried deep within us.  We may think our own shit smells okay.  We may decide we’ll live with it.  And this will ensure that we will have it again with us and act on it our next life, and our next life and our next life and our next life and our next life and our next life and on and on, until we face that we lie even to ourselves, and it has not served us as we told ourselves it would.

It behooves us to work to be honest about what we have stuffed away in our own subconscious closet, and even to go searching for it.  And believe it or not, this includes recognizing that part of what we’re here to clean up is the guilt, shame, judgment, “casting of stones”, at our self.  So, to those who decide to labor, to those who choose to be worker bees, to those who will work, to those of us who love ourselves enough to be honest with ourselves, I leave this beginning consideration.  “Let he, who is without sin, cast the first stone.” also applies to how we treat ourselves.

If we don’t face our self – even digging deep into our own subconscious, we’re not doing the real work of transformation.  If we don’t do our work of transforming our subconscious and everything within it, our world will not transform .   The only world then to transform is somebody else’s world – transformed by the work of that someone else, who is willing to dig deeper into their own subconscious to face themselves.

Dig deep.  Though the journey within is fraught with the shadows of dragons, the reward is wonders and jewels of our self that we’ve never known before.

Let’s go to work.

Why?

Because we cannot bring forth kindness when we have violence and contempt within us hidden in our subconscious.  We cannot bring forth compassion, when we have judgement and condemnation entrenched deep inside.  We cannot be patient, or loving, or understanding towards others, if bitterness and resentment still come forth in how we live in our life.  We won’t bring peace to others’ lives if we don’t bring peace to our own deepest levels within.  We cannot demonstrate or express any fruits of the spirit towards others if we haven’t resolved the conflict within that hinders us expressing these even to ourselves.

Remember, nothing anyone has done to us – nothing we have done to others – has separated God from us.  But with our own actions, thoughts, beliefs and feelings to ourselves and others, some of which we’ve stuffed deep into our subconscious closet, we have, in effect, separated our self from God in our own hearts and minds.

Harvest Time is Here

Harvest is here

If anyone is wondering whether this is the time or not… this is the time of harvest.  And I’m not talking about vegetables.

This is the time of opening.  This is the time of transformation.  This is the time of waking up.  This is the time of people searching.  This is the time that minds and hearts seek what is better.  It has been for some time, is now and will be more.  Yes, this is the time of harvest.

Before the election, many times, I got the question, “Who’s going to win the election?”  Always this was the wrong question to ask, because this was not the issue.  The question wasn’t then and isn’t now, who will win or who is holding office (even though the election is over.)  The question and issue is “Who will help us?”

It won’t be any politician that leads the world into a better way of living.  Some will always be glad and some will always be sorry.  Looking to politics and politicians for making life better will never produce what we seek.  Hearts and minds holding the spirit of service to all life is what serves.

If we look to politicians to be the source of help, some of us will be helped in some particular way, and some of us won’t.  Some who need and deserve help, won’t get it and some who don’t need or don’t deserve help will get it.  This is what politics offers.  This is always what politics has offered in the past and what it will offer in the future when there is a spirit of “Serve one’s own needs”.

Real help and true help comes from the Spiritual Source.  If we go to the source of all good things, then we are beginning where we need to begin – by going to the One who has what is needed to be able to help and who is willing to help.  It’s not just an axiom or a saying in the Bible.

God’s help reaches into the deepest parts of us, where the awareness of what real help is really needed to be applied in our life.  God may not always “feed us a fish”, as much as He “teaches us how to fish”.  God doesn’t necessarily supply superficial or material needs on the asking.  Of course, neither does the government.  But, the help that comes from the source of all good, applies to the secret needs inside our soul, that we have underneath our superficial and material needs – the deepest needs of our hearts, minds and souls.

Even with all I’ve written here, God does indeed work through people in politics, when the people in office have the spirit of service within their hearts and minds.  And many do.  Even some of the ones we voted against.
