Forgiveness and Mercy

When we extend forgiveness and mercy, the person receiving it is changed. Maybe this change is not in a way that we immediately notice, but the act of forgiveness and mercy cannot happen without our cooperating with the presence of God.

This presence of God touching another person in the form of forgiveness and mercy or any other fruit of the spirit, has an effect. Again, this effect isn’t necessarily something we’re going to consciously witness.  (While on Earth, it helps to let go of the need to witness our own efforts on behalf of another take root in that person.)

Need proof? We can take a look at our own life, and our own past lives. Who has extended forgiveness and mercy to us? When have we been touched by another’s bringing forth their connection to Infinite Forgiveness for our sake?  We can take a look at where we are in our spiritual path and our inner healing. We also have been forgiven and shown mercy – by One and/or by many. This has made an impact on our self, as well. We are the proof that being forgiven and being shown mercy have an effect on the soul receiving this forgiveness and mercy. We are where we are today because of forgiveness and mercy helping us to where we are. We are healing inwardly, because we have received forgiveness and been shown mercy.

Why is this all true? Because forgiveness and mercy are aspects of Love. All souls are affected by love. All life is affected by love.  Not in our own time requirements, but in God’s.  It may not be immediately noticeable to us how others are affected – the others which we haven’t yet forgiven or shown mercy to, but the source of Love and the receiver of Love notice it on their soul level.

When we’re deep in darkness, a small touch of forgiveness and mercy becomes a big thing. A seemingly small amount of kindness and light, shine out like beacons, when we’re steeped in the darkness we once created and chose. The touch of the hand of forgiveness and mercy becomes like a drink of clear water, when all we had before was sludge, (because all we gave to others was sludge.)

When we extend forgiveness and mercy, the one we extend it towards, in some way is helped, in some portion is healed, in some part is changed.

Imagine a world where everyone went around forgiving and giving mercy to everyone else. There would be a greater presence of Infinite Forgiveness and Infinite Mercy in the world. Everyone would be touched by the healing hand of Infinite Love.  As individuals, we can start creating this world, by forgiving and showing mercy to those who need forgiveness and mercy in our lives – those who desperately thirst for that clear glass of healing Infinite Water called Infinite Love.

“For Religious Reasons”

The phrase “For religious reasons” (or “protection”) is getting used by many. We hear of decisions and behaviors, and then hear these acts are done “for religious reasons.”

Christ tells of a story related to this and related to His comment, “Love your neighbor as yourself.”, when asked “Who is our neighbor?”

Luke 10:30 – And Jesus answering said, A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among thieves, which stripped him of his raiment, and wounded him, and departed, leaving him half dead.

31 And by chance there came down a certain priest that way: and when he saw him, he passed by on the other side.

32 And likewise a Levite, when he was at the place, came and looked on him, and passed by on the other side.

33 But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was: and when he saw him, he had compassion on him,

34 And went to him, and bound up his wounds, pouring in oil and wine, and set him on his own beast, and brought him to an inn, and took care of him.

35 And on the morrow when he departed, he took out two pence, and gave them to the host, and said unto him, Take care of him; and whatsoever thou spendest more, when I come again, I will repay thee.

36 Which now of these three, thinkest thou, was neighbor unto him that fell among the thieves?

37 And he said, He that shewed mercy on him. Then said Jesus unto him, Go, and do thou likewise.

The Samaritan didn’t act “for religious reasons” but showed mercy. The priest and Levite who passed the injured guy by, in effect were demonstrating actions taken “for religious reasons,” and chose not to help him.

Christ’s life wasn’t what it was “for religious reasons”. Christ’s life wasn’t about honoring “the religion”, or acting “for religious reasons”. His decisions and actions were regardless of “the religious reasons” because God (the source of mercy, forgiveness, Loving kindness, and understanding) is beyond religions. Religions are simply established ways of believing, which mankind has assembled together in hopes of learning ever more.

We humans go to war for religious reasons, and have done so for centuries if not millennium. Mankind has innumerable examples throughout recorded history of the willingness to kill one another for religious reasons. ISIL kills for religious reasons.

For centuries and millennium, people have been acting against one another “for religious reasons”. When we decide to act to separate ourselves from an act of good will or mercy, and instead act to protect our own sense of our religious beliefs, we are placing our own sense of our self before our neighbor’s well being. No one has ever been heard saying, “for reasons of compassion and oneness, I’m going to distance myself from helping another human being.”

When we decide to act “for religious reasons”, we’re not necessarily acting for the best reasons, sometimes we’re acting for the worst reasons as if we were to say, “God, it’s more important for me to go to heaven than for me to help someone else.” Religions are not higher than loving kindness, or patience, or understanding. Religions are not greater than God. Religions are meant to help us to come to know God.

We have even made religion a god, if that is possible to do. We have made our beliefs into our God – holding our beliefs to be more important than oneness and mercy towards our neighbor. Christ’s message all along has been that our Oneness with God is paramount and our Oneness with one another (our neighbor) is even more important than our beliefs.

By saying, ‘I’m choosing this for religious reasons,’ we’re not saying, ‘I’m doing this for forgiveness reasons.’ It’s not the same. I’ve never heard anyone who said “for religious reasons” also say, “I’m doing this for patience reasons, or reasons of loving kindness, or reasons of compassion or brotherhood.”

The actions of the Samaritan spoke loudly, “I’m doing this for reasons of compassion.”

Jesus chose to live his entire life, not “for religious reasons” but “for reasons of God’s Love”.

To Bring Light to a Violence-Weary World

If you’re seeing similarities between ISIS and the Nazi’s under Hitler, and wondering if you’re accurate with seeing these similarities, then you’re correct. There is a reason why we see similarities – because they are similar.

The difference is that today, we have instant reporting of the actions of ISIS, whereas in the 1930’s and 1940’s reporting was done very slowly.

In looking at this going on in our world, it is easy to follow the beat of the drum of retribution, vengeance and hatred. We see so many examples of how easy it is for some to choose violence and vengeance. For some, this will be a regular choice that they find easy to make.

But, not for all. The question for some of us isn’t whether the people of ISIS are destroying artifacts and murdering people, the question for some of us is are they destroying and murdering our spiritual paths – our paths to bring the whole world out of darkness through efforts to bring forth the LIGHT from within ourselves individually. Yes, absolutely lives matter and yes, history matters, but of what value is history if the whole world chooses the darkness of hatred and vengeance. And what do the souls who lost their lives want for us – greater darkness so this can happen to others? or perseverance to live from within the heart of our spiritual path so that this darkness is replaced with the LIGHT OF GOD.

The truth is they can’t murder or destroy our spiritual paths and spiritual efforts. However, we can do it to our own spiritual paths. When we do it, we do it voluntarily. We can destroy and murder our own spiritual paths simply by choosing the same thing they do – violence, killing, hatred, vengeance, etc.

It is times like these and events like these when holding to and practicing our spiritual paths becomes most important. It is the practice in the face of circumstances which oppose practicing the presence and guidance of Spirit when it is most effective and helpful to the world at large.

No one can force us to be hateful or vengeful or violent – off our own spiritual path – although it’s damn hard sometimes to stay on our path. If we get off our path, it is of our own freewill to act from the “lower vibrations” of hatred and vengeance, rather than act from “higher vibrations” of patience, openness, perseverance and long suffering – holding onto the hand of the Still, Small Voice within – walking with the One who promises healing of more than just ourselves, if we hold out – persevere – to the end.

We’re all in this together. There are many of us seeking to hold on to our spiritual paths in the face of hatred, violence and vengeance. So, keep on keeping on. Choose life not death. Hold to the Light, when all around seems to be darkness. Join with others, pray, meditate, practice the presence of God. With our effort to live from a greater Spirit, we will help to bring Light to a violence-weary world.

Creating Experiences

We are the authors of all the experiences which we go through – as souls. We won’t see this or understand how this can be if we only look at this one life as being all there is to human/soul existance on the Earth. However, we are the authors of all the experiences which we go through.

Consider this more in terms of eternity – the eternal past and the eternal present. If we go back into the past of our soul (this life and beyond this life) we will find when we wrote the beginning of the story of each particular experience. For example, our parents – very few people DON’T have issues with parents, when perceived from the human level of perception. But, looking from the soul’s perspective, one can say that we created or wrote the script in which our parents acted out the parts.

Yes, our parents had and/or have their issues, and in “acting out the parts” they helped solidify our issues. But, if they had chosen to not “act out” those parts, we still would have our script out there ready for someone to come into our life at some time to “act out” the parts that tie into our issues.

So, in actuality, we have issues, imbalances, patterns in our psyche, (whatever we want to call them) within us. We have them when entering into our life, and these issues are of our own creation  during some point within our soul’s existence – including possibly in previous human lives, (but not always a human life as the beginning source.)

Hence, we can see that we are the authors of our own experiences. We created the circumstances by acting out in some other time and place towards someone or something else. This started the ripple that went out into the entire infinite universe for all life to be on the receiving end of that experience in some fashion, … including ourselves. And so the experience of being slapped, or killed, or betrayed, or shunned, or hated, or beaten, … or the experiences of being loved, or welcomed, or accepted, or cared for, or being shown mercy, or forgiven, or being shown patience… all of these experiences are in our lives because we created them for another person or persons, in our past and the ripple of that creation then went out into the entire infinite universe for all to be on the receiving end of that experience in some fashion, … including ourselves.

While this may set the stage for understanding, this by no means is the end of the story of the purpose of the return of these experiences. The purpose of the return of these experiences – the experiences which we created for others to receive from us – is for us to find a different response and create a different experience for others. It is for us to create an experience of response to other persons that comes from the place within that God resides.

It is for us to express this God that resides within our own heart via the fruits of the Spirit. You’ve read this here before. When we respond to experiences with patience or long suffering, kindness or understanding, cooperation or forgiveness, or mercy, or letting go of our judgement/criticism or any of the other Fruits of the Spirit, whether towards others or even towards ourselves – we are bringing a real balance back to our own consciousness.

So many times we don’t bother responding from our heart. Or we give up “this one time.” Or we decide it’s too hard or too late or unnecessary or any other number of our very clever reasons not to use effort to let God guide us in our hearts. (I think of the “given up” notion more for myself.) We may continue the status quo once again creating an experience of pain and suffering for others.

However, in that moment of instant willingness and freewill, when we bring forth mercy or patience, etc, we bring God back into our creating, and healing begins, balance begins, and resolution happens. The new healing and balance with the energy and consciousness of forgiveness or mercy or any of the F’s of the Spirit then becomes the experience we create for others and send out into the infinite universe. In time, again, because creation is happening, we create this for all, including ourselves and we will be on the receiving end of what we create for others.

As we do for others, we do for ourselves. The experience we create for others to experience, we create for ourselves to experience. Some call this Karma. Some call this Creation. It is both. But, it is not law without it also being a living process happening within all life.

PS. A World of Peace won’t happen without forgiveness, mercy, and all the Fruits of the Spirit. It is these that bring about the world of Peace. How? As individuals. Once again, if we, as an individual, create a World of Peace for another person or being, we are creating for all. And remember, patience is one of the Fruits of the Spirit, also. It takes patience to create a new world. Just ask Christ.

Astrological Study for Understanding Oneself

Edgar Cayce was asked in several readings if it would be helpful to study Astrology.  In trance, Cayce answered, “when studied aright, [it is] very, very, very much so.” (Readings 815-6 and 3744-4).  Of course, he had many other supportive statements about astrology, as well.

While I don’t offer astrological information on my website, I know of many practitioners who offer very good guidance and instruction.  There are many worthwhile sources to learn and understand Astrology.  I recommend two here – the Association for Research and Enlightenment’s own webpages (the organization built around the Edgar Cayce Readings) which provide sources for exploring and understanding the role and purpose of Astrology, and EcoAstrology, one of many people who have studied and helped others for decades in the field of astrology.

I mention these because the study of Astrology can bring a greater understanding of ourselves and our relationships.

“Astral City: A Spiritual Journey”

I’ve had requests for the title of the movie, “Astral City”, which I mentioned during a recent retreat/conference at which I attended and spoke.  It chronicles the experiences of Andre Luiz, after his death, and also parallels Echo Bodine’s Out-of-Body experience which she writes of in her book, “Echoes of the Soul”.

The movie is taken from the book of the same name written in 1944 by Francisco Cândido Xavier.  The Wikipedia link:  Astral_City:_A_Spiritual_Journey.  The Youtube preview: Astral City: A Spiritual Journey.

I do recommend watching it.

Alzheimers

There is a spiritual aspect to Alzheimer’s that has rarely, if ever, been mentioned.  While it’s true that Alzheimer’s is a physical deterioration of the brain, there is an underlying spiritual aspect occurring, as well.

The physical brain deterioration occurs slowly over time – mostly years.  This disease is being used by the spirit entity/person/soul to give the spirit entity “time.”  The individual many times has been someone who takes care of others or who has lived a life of being responsible and feeling responsible for the well-being of others.   This “time of the disease’s course” is the soul’s time to continue to fulfill their desire and their “responsibilities” of taking care of others.

However, in the physical world, the reverse “caring” is true, the individual is no longer able to physically take care of themselves and others.  Still, in the spirit world, Alzheimer’s allows the soul to periodically return to the physical world and check up on the other person or persons.

In effect, the soul/entity/spirit/individual comes and goes – both leaving the body and then returning to the body.  This is demonstrated in the physical world by others physically observing that “sometimes they are there and sometimes they aren’t.”  Sometimes, they are lucid or present and in their body, and sometimes they’re not lucid – not present – not in their body.  This is the coming and going of the soul.

When the individual/entity/spirit/soul is “gone” during a particular time frame, there is a wholly less developed cellular consciousness that still exists, because the body still is alive and still has cellular functioning.  Because the brain continues to break down, as the disease progresses, it becomes more and more difficult for the soul entity to return to full presence in the body.

You see, as the brain breaks down, the brain’s capacity to hold electrical energy of the soul diminishes, as well.  This means the soul must leave for greater amounts of time in order to keep the brain from breaking down faster.  The energy of the soul causes wear and tear on the nervous system of the body and the body’s nervous system must recuperate to avoid “burning up.”  This has been the function of sleep (See Sleep, the Body, and Recovery from Illness) allowing the body to recuperate from the higher level energy of the soul.

So, Alzheimer’s is currently being used by souls moving on to the spirit side – the higher vibration levels, but then still returning to the Earth inside the physical body to check up on those they took care of while fully in the Earth.

The question can come up:  Why don’t they just let go and move to the other side?

The answer:  “We can only be the person that we are.” If we held inside ourselves that it was our responsibility to take care of any others, this way of thinking stays with us.  In the time frame that Alzheimer’s manifests, the person is still holding within themselves that they must check in and make sure the others are okay.  For many, it takes some time to let go.

Edgar Cayce also adds that we are called to “Have faith in ourselves.  Have faith in others.  Have faith in God.”  Ultimately, it is God that takes care of all of us, if we can get out of His way and have faith in all.

The Experience of Infinite Consciousness

All life is constantly creating, so that all life can constantly experience all life.  Put another way, the Infinite God, of which we are all “not separated from” parts of God, experiences all that life has to offer, through all the parts of God that God has given consciousness to, (and God has given consciousness to all of life.)

Put another way, there is no thing that is separate from an Infinite everything.  The Full God Consciousness is connected within each unique consciousness that God has given awareness to.  This is not just humans, but all of existence – all of the Infinitely created “Everything”.

Put another way, Infinite Consciousness experiences infinite experiences through all the different parts of Infinite consciousness.

Put another way, God is everything.  Consciousness is everything.  And just because we don’t get it, only means that we haven’t yet experienced Infinite experiences in order to be aware of ourselves as Infinite Consciousness.

All of life – Infinite God Consciousness – is constantly creating, so that all of life – Infinite God Consciousness – can constantly experience all of life – Infinite God Consciousness.

Put another way, we, as part of Infinite God Consciousness, are constantly creating, so that we, as part of Infinite God Consciousness, can constantly experience ourselves as part of Infinite God Consciousness.

Interestingly, all of Infinite God Consciousness is within us, and available to us, all the time, but gaining it all is like the joke – A man asked God, “God, it’s true isn’t it, that to you a million years is like a second, and it’s true that to you a million dollars is like a penny?”  And God replied, “Yes, it’s true.”  And the man said, “Then, I pray to you, give me a penny.”  And God said, “In a second.”

It’s all available, all the time, and to integrate it all, and be aware of it all, we simply use all time.

Needless to say, we still have a ways to go, but we have infinite time – eternity – in which to do it.  For some of us, the hard part is wrapping our minds around what exactly the term “infinite” means.  Once we can do that, we are slightly closer to understanding all that is.

See?  It all makes sense, now, right?

So, you can understand now, how Infinite Creativity creates Infinitely.  And Infinite Consciousness experiences this infinite creativity.

Because of this, every experience that you and I create for ourselves and others is experienced by the Infinite Consciousness – by all life – in some form or way.  No experience we create for ourselves or another is limited to only ourselves or that other person.

Since we are part of the Infinite, the experiences we create are experienced by the Infinite – by all of life – on this planet, solar system, galaxy and universe, including other planes of existence, other universes, and other dimensions.

In other words, all of life, of which we are a part, experiences all of life, of which we are a part, and we experience all of life because of this.

See?

Freewill vs. Predestination

“…then everything in life is predestined, is this true?” Z.

No.

God gave everyone freewill and this means we can choose, and then change our minds, at any time. No one can take away what God has given us.

A basic simple beginning of understanding prediction can be as follows:

Prediction can  be like having the ability to see that A leads to B, which leads to C, which leads to D, which leads to E, which leads to F, which leads to G, which leads to H, which leads to I, which leads to J, etc., etc.  For example, I can predict that Spring will come after Winter, because that’s our planetary design.

Prediction with individuals comes from the ability to see that if a person went to work 5 days a week for many years, then they are on the path to go to work again.  However, it is still a person’s freewill to quit their job today, and do something else.  Each individual has millions of patterns like this.

Prediction also comes from seeing that if a person is going down a path, and they make certain choices, then certain factors will come into play depending on the decision they make.  For example, if a person chooses to go to college, certain factors and life situations will come into this person’s life.  If they choose not to go to college, different life situations will come into this person’s life.

Prediction also comes from seeing that if we’re going down a certain road of life, to reach a destination in life, and there are warnings on that road of life, saying something like, “Bridge Out Ahead”, and the warnings are ignored because they’re not believed or not understood, certain things (sometimes harmful things) will happen because the road taken has not been changed.  Choosing to smoke cigarettes is an example of the last statement.

Predestination can be a part of life, but only in presenting choices for a person to decide – to act respectfully or disrespectfully, to forgive or not forgive, to be patient or to be impatient, to judge and criticize others, or to be kind and understanding, to cooperate with others or to fight against others, to make someone else’s or one’s own life heaven or to make someone else’s or one’s own life hell, to be selfish or to be unselfish, to choose life or to choose death.  Life situations happen, circumstances happen, but how we respond to them comes from our own freewill.

See, we make decisions everyday and these decisions lead us down different paths.  Interestingly, we’ve made decisions 10,000 years ago that are affecting our life, today.  We’re making decisions today that will affect our life 10,000 years in the future.

Right or Wrong?

There is only one life we live on this Earth, God gave us one life to live for his Glory. Heaven and Hell are real places and the place one goes to depends weather the choice is made to accept Jesus Christ as a Savior for the sins we made..This is the truth and whoever reads this, please, invite Jesus into your hearts, repent from your sins, this is the only way to go to heaven. It is heartbreaking to see how many people are confused and lied to by Satan that there are many lives to live..nowhere in a Bible does it state that and there are few clear statements that we live ONLY ONE life. Please Jodie, I am praying for you and all people out there in the name of Jesus Christ to flee from these “many lives we live” deceiving theories. In Jesus Almighty name! A

Christ never condemned anyone for having different beliefs – not the Samaritans, not the Gentiles, and not the Romans, and they all had different beliefs. He condemned those who are hypocritical – acting differently than the beliefs they espouse.  This is what we need to watch for within ourselves and our actions.

Christ’s message was to all people and His commandments were – Love God above all else, and Love your neighbor as yourself.

With 7 billion going on 8 billion people on the planet, there are also 7 billion going on 8 billion unique and different belief systems. No two of us believe exactly 100% alike. Everyone of us has our own spin on our beliefs and rightly so – because there are no two of us exactly 100% alike, no matter how close we are.

For me, having studied the Bible, also, including the Gospels, I find Christ’s message not the message of separation based on different beliefs. I find Christ’s message of Love to include this: The most important part of beliefs is not what we believe, but what our beliefs motivate us to do in how we relate to other people. Do our beliefs move us to criticize and condemn others, or do our beliefs create room in this world for differences of all kinds? Do our beliefs motivate us to bring people together on common ground, or do our beliefs move us to separate out those who are different and judge them for their differences? Do our beliefs move us to strike out at others out of judgement of these differences or do our beliefs help us to embrace even others who are completely different? Do our beliefs move us to tell others “I’m right and your wrong,” or do they move us to look for the unique aspects that everyone has within them, in order to contribute to the whole of mankind?

All religions have followers who use their religious beliefs to justify prejudice, fear, condemnation, criticism, hatred, killing, war and the like. But, all religions also have followers who use their religious beliefs to strengthen their love for one another, their effort at cooperation, their striving to be kind, compassionate and understanding, and their desire to have love be at the center of their relationships and connections with every other soul.

In our world today, we see so many espouse togetherness, but with the caveat that the togetherness has to be according to “how I, and not you, see the world” rather than “let’s find common ground and work from there.” We see many people all over the globe that are ready for any others to convert and be like them. But, what Christ lived and demonstrated was that God’s Infinite Mind and Heart has room (many mansions) for all souls who seek to love. Christ teaches even today that with God, all things are possible, including all the different ways of believing.  Yet, with God and Love being One, this possibility of all things – the inclusion of the different ways of believing – can only be done when Love is present. With God/Love, all things, including living and cooperating in a world holding different beliefs, are possible.

Christ teaches that if we ask for the Truth, God will answer our request without tricks or deception. Christ also teaches that we can have a direct connection to God, and do not need to take on any other person’s beliefs through another person’s mind and understanding – we can build our own beliefs.

Finally, many of us have studied and read the Bible and have found reincarnation all over the place in it. However, it is absolutely and equally true that one does not need to believe in reincarnation to follow Christ, especially when Christ main message is “Love God above all else, and Love your neighbor as yourself.” To follow Christ one needs to live this love, practicing it even with those that believe differently.

There can be room for differences of beliefs, but only when one is willing to allow room for differences.  The more open and willing we are, the more God can come in.  This is what I believe and this is what I will work at living at, in order to make this alive inside of me, and to make it real in the world, one day at a time, with God’s help.

God Bless Us,

Everyone.

Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.”  Revelations 3:20.

PS.  None of us can say we know all there is to know about God, Christ, Life and Death, Heaven and Hell.  None of us can say we know all there is to know about the Truth.  Not if we’re being truthful.  We do the best we can at understanding all the above and determine our beliefs from what we can understand.  This is why so many of us have different beliefs, because we have different experiences, levels, and ways of understanding.

When we say “Only this is true or only that is true” then we have stopped our learning and closed ourselves down to more of what God would teach us.  When we allow ourselves to entertain different ideas and different ways of thinking, considering how they could fit with our current understanding, then God will find a way to help us learn more about all the above, which includes our relationship to Christ, our relationship to God, and our relationships with each other.

The Illuminati

What is the Illuminati and will they end up actually taking over the world? G.

God laughs patiently at all the self-importance we heap upon ourselves.  All of what we base ‘thinking ourselves better or worse than others” is gone in a whisper and a blink.  What we base it on – the circumstances of this life – are gone our next life, and change again our next life, and our next life, and on and on.

If you so choose, you can believe that the Illuminati will take over the world, if it is what you want to believe.  “But as for me and my house, we will [believe in and] serve the Living God.” Joshua 24:15

I will reiterate what Christ said to Peter, “Don’t worry about the others.  I’ll worry about the others.  You follow me.”

In other words, those that call people ‘Illuminati’ are talking about people.  These people have a life and make choices like everyone else.  They’re given a chance to live life and make decisions for their lives like everyone else is given the chance.  Their circumstances of life, like yours and mine, are here today, gone tomorrow.

As an example, in my last life, like millions of others, I died in a concentration camp in Nazi Germany.  But, those aren’t even close to being what my circumstances of life are now.  See?  They are here one life, but not the next.  Suppose your next life has the circumstances that “these Illuminati” have now.  You can say to others, “I would act differently if I were in their shoes.” but haven’t you also acted selfishly at times in your life, seeking to make your own life better rather than others’ lives?  Haven’t we all?  Maybe the people in the “Illuminati”  have no humility.  Have you been working on developing humility?  I’m still working on mine.

You’re asking the wrong question for you.  The right question for you to ask is “Who am I and what will I choose today for my life?  Selfishness or unselfishness?  Light or darkness?  Life or death?  These are the questions for all of us truly to be asking.

“As for me and my house, I will serve the Living God.” Joshua 24:15

Lifetimes Before

Remember, no outside-of-us person or group affects our life in any amount even close to the level that our own choices have affected and do affect our lives.  We’ve made choices thousands of years ago and many lifetimes ago that are affecting our life this very day.  The decisions and choices we make this very day do affect and will affect our lives thousands of years in the future.

You see, lives and choices of which we have no memory, bring us to whom we are and our life, now.  How is it possible that something so long ago can affect us now?

Those experiences we have decided to create for other people to experience – both joyful and painful, we have created for all, including our self.  The heaven or hell that we create for others is the exact same heaven and hell we are choosing for our self.  The experiences we create for one, we create for all, including our self.  And as the ripple goes out across the lake, so does the same ripple eventually return to the point from which it started.

So, in some past life, if any of us chose to be a part of some clandestine group and manipulate peoples lives for our own benefit, then yes, indeed, we will fear the impact of a clandestine group manipulating our life today.

How do we move past this fear and experience?  How do we let go of this?

Forgiveness, mercy and letting go of judgment – of our self, and of others who do the same thing.  When we release all from the chains of guilt and shame, we release our self, as well.

Now, I’ll add, if we help to create a Heaven on Earth – a place of love – a place of forgiveness – a place of understanding and patience – a place of humor and kindness – a place of encouragement and support – a place of appreciation, a place of cooperation, a place of comfort and compassion, then we are creating this for all, including our self.

Dreaming of Storms

In my dreams, I see clouds, water, storms, – and I always feel I need to run, to escape this disaster situation, in which my world around me is becoming a global natural disaster. Weird thing is though, is that I live in British Columbia, Canada. A mountainous climate, with green forests. I have never seen a tornado, hurricane, typhoon, or felt an earthquake, or any other mother nature disaster. The weather where I live, doesn’t have a lot of wind because of the mountains that surround me. So I ask, how did I dream, on more than one occasion, that I was actually running from a storm. How did I feel the wind? The water? … the fear of not escaping in time? T.B.

In our dreams, first and foremost, don’t assume the dream is literal.  The dream must be studied and investigated to determine the message it carries.  We do have some literal dreams, but the biggest number of dreams are symbolic and hence will need examined and investigated.

Also, consider that some dreams are precognitive but not necessarily “Tomorrow.”  Some precognitive dreams are months, years, decades and even centuries into the future.

With this in mind, I suggest you look up the words – ‘storm’, ‘water’, ‘clouds’ and ‘running’ in the dictionary.  You’ll find many different meanings to these words.  Then look at how these words can go together – i.e. water also runs.

With other meanings to these words, take a look at the different parts of your life.  Do the meanings of these words parallel any part of your life?  For example: Is there a storm in your life anywhere?  Is there anything in your life that is clouding up another part of you?

Even water has several meanings, and in dreams can sometimes be symbolic of emotions.

With just these small tips, perhaps you can make more sense of the dreams.

Dreams are a language, but they’re not English.  They speak in symbols because the messages they try to convey have many levels and facets.  Dreams “speak” holistically, while in our waking life, we speak “linearly”.  This is why studying and examining them in greater depth than their literal happenings can be extremely helpful.

For anyone wishing to pursue greater understanding of dreams, I recommend starting with “Edgar Cayce on Dreams”, and “Dreams, God’s Forgotten Language”, as two of many good books on dream study.

“Who are you?”

“I’d also love to know who you are, where you came from and how did you know all those stuffs. It’s amazing revealing. I’d love to learn from you.” M.

If we look for learning within ourselves, from the “still, small voice of God” within the heart and soul, we will learn from God. If we look for learning outside of ourselves, we might get lucky.
We come to know that we learn from what others put forth in books and discussions, but others are not the source of that which is truly worth learning. God speaks to us within ourselves, and others merely are putting into words that which God is trying to teach us from within our own heart and soul. The source is God, but sometimes we need help from other people in “getting it put into concepts and words that we understand”.

In these moments, we recognize the words of God within us, even though He used an “outside of us” translator in that moment.  This also means that God will teach us with the help of many people. The Bible says that wisdom comes from having many teachers.

I am a traveler on the path, one who asks questions and listens for answers.  In the words of the Beatles, “I am he, as you are he, as you are me, and we are altogether.”

I strive to practice what I learn and make it real.  I work on myself and share what adds to my understanding.  I strive to know myself and my relationship to God and others.  I am a human being striving to evolve.  I pray and meditate.

Isn’t it amazing what God can do with the “dust of the Earth?”

The Secret Life of Fear

Once, in giving a presentation about fear, I asked the audience to raise their hands to answer several different questions about who was afraid of what. My last question, of course, was, “Who has a fear of raising their hands to answer questions from a presenter?”

Consider these:

  1. Fear is like a huge pile of dirty dishes. Dirty dishes just sit there in the sink – not moving – not going anywhere – not disappearing – not getting washed – not doing anything. They just sit there staring at you – forever. Until the time comes that we get up and start washing the dishes.
Fear just sits there, inside us – not moving – not going anywhere – not disappearing – not getting washed – not doing anything – until we get at it and start scrubbing away – cleaning it up – washing it. This is called – “doing the work that needs to be done.”
  2. Sure, it’s possible for us to choose of our own freewill to be afraid for all eternity. Is that how long to hold onto fear – eternity? Who would choose to live in fear for all eternity? Or we can ask God to help us “wash our dishes”.
  3. Fear is not the truth. Caution might be the truth – and is wise to take hold of. Responding might be the truth – and also can be wise to take hold of. But, fear is not the truth.
  4. Fear is the soul’s recognizing a situation where the soul in some form – once before – faced, stumbled, and failed. And as such, God has brought this situation back in that moment, and specifically meant for us to face in that moment under those present circumstances, so that we can find the better response – a response that will also bring God into the moment.
  5. God does not approach us with any criticism, nor judgement in His heart. When calling on Him for help, consider thinking of Him as a best friend, who has no criticism or judgment – only acceptance and loving kindness.
  6. What we fear is more often that which we’ve caused others to fear because of our actions towards them – most often from past lives, but sometimes in the present life. We get to understand the fear we caused, by “walking in their shoes,” and we then get to understand them – and then ourselves and the whys and wherefores of the fear we have.
  7. When we let go of needing others to be afraid of us, we can let go of being afraid of others.

Demons?

So are you seeing the demons coming out of hell? [From a comment in the “Tribulation…” article]

Be warned.  You’re not going to like my answer.  It’s not the answer you’re wanting.  But, it is the answer that will be presented here.

God calls no soul “demon”.  All beings/souls are equally seen and truly loved by God.  The “demons” you and so many of us are really afraid of are the demons within ourselves that we’ve done nothing to change or heal.  It is these inner demons that we’ve used as a channel to inflict pain and suffering onto others in the past and present – whether in this life and remembered, or in past lives and forgotten.

Change the demons within one’s self through effort, willingness, study, forgiveness and letting go of judgement and in time, you, too, could find yourself no longer calling God’s creations/children, “demons” – whether they are incarnated into a body or not incarnated into a body.

When we’ve faced our own demons, how we see others – including those we’ve labeled with insulting names – will change.

The Edgar Cayce Readings state, “There is good in the worst of us, and there is bad in the best of us.”

Have you ever been labeled with an insulting name by someone else who sees you as “bad” through their negative and hurtful lens?  They may see you as a demon.  If anyone has received insults, it then behooves us to ask ourselves if we’re sure we want to look at other souls, spirits, entities of any kind negatively as being demons, when, at the same time, we haven’t done anything to change the demons we have inside of ourselves.

There are many in the world that are willing to label other life forms or souls, both incarnate and discarnate, with insulting names, and they have been willing through all ages.  If any of us chooses to be one of these many that insults others, then remember, an unwillingness to change the demons within on anyone’s part, points to a continued willingness and desire within to inflict pain and suffering onto others.

******

“When we insult God’s creations, we’re insulting God.”

“All of us have lapses in our willingness to change ourselves.  It helps to remember that we can get up, dust ourselves off and get back into the ‘transformation through forgiveness’ game.”
