Christ and Buddha

Years ago, I had a dream. In this dream, I saw a wheel of light with a central hub, many spokes of light reaching outward, and then the outer rim/tire encircling the whole. And I saw Christ. Christ showed me the meaning of these 3 parts. Christ was the central hub, all the different religions were the many spokes, and the outer rim/tire was all the people who believed the various and different religions.  Through the many different spokes and their connection to the hub in different places, the outer rim gained strength and purpose, thus being able to move the whole forward.

I don’t know if Christ is in dreams of others. I’d love to find out. I do know that this dream taught me the relevance and relationship that exists with the different religions and the central Spirit of Love that religions try to teach to the people.

This Spirit which I call Christ, and many others call Christ has taught me that the main question and struggle is not about what name or organized religion we adhere to, but to the Spirit that exists available to all people and which resides in all religions that teach the One God.

Many will continue to war, saying “Our One God is the real One God and your One God is not the real One God.” In effect they’re saying, “Our way of believing is the real way to believe and your way of believing is not the real way to believe.”

I’ve written of this many times trying to say, “It’s not our beliefs, but what we do with them – using them to bring peace or using them to bring war – that matters most”. The dream did not show a  one spoke wheel. What wheel would work with only one spoke? The dream showed many spokes, because the tire spread all the way around – each spoke being that which connects that portion of the whole to the center.

Christ said many times, “I have followers that you don’t know about.” Does anyone think that He can’t or is not capable of being available to someone in another language, in another culture, with another name, under another symbol, in a different paradigm, in a different perspective, under a different image, wearing different clothes, in a different land, appearing as a different physical representation, unknown to “us”? Does anyone think He can’t speak to people in their own culture using their own language and understanding, presenting teachings that have One God of Love as the teachings’ central message, helping them start where they are, supporting who they are as the persons that they already are to take their own next step?

Does anyone think He can’t, in these different ways, give His message , “You’re already all you need to be, to be loved right now” ? Can He then help other religions to come about, carrying on the message – “Love one another” ?  The Bible describes the Pentecost, and says, “Each person understood the message in their own language and culture.”  Who among us thinks God cannot speak to each of us in our own way of understanding?

If anyone is wondering, look at how many religions speak the same message, “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you“, or the message, “There is One God and all of us, everywhere are God’s Children.”

As one example, does anyone think it CAN’T be true, that the Christ Spirit and the Buddha Spirit are One and the same? We can know one name and person or we can know the other name and person, or we can know them both as One Spirit, and begin to learn the lessons of the one we choose or choose both, finding that when we learn the lessons of one, we have also been learning the same lessons of the other.

To Believe or Not to Believe

We are at a time in our world, with technology, politics, social media and “everything else going on in the world”, where we sometimes don’t know what’s true or what isn’t. Very “loud” conflicts are happening with people on each side claiming the people on the other side are disseminating fake news. The “noise” level is so loud, that it can be very easy to not know what to believe or who to believe.

Now, in a “seeming” change of topic, at last count, there are more than 7.3 billion people on this planet. Of these 7,300,000,000 people, there are no two who are exactly alike. Because we’re different, because we’ve experienced different things in life – all through our life, we, therefore, have experienced different experiences, met different role models, mentors and teachers, felt different feelings, and thought different thoughts about and through all our lives. I mention this, because there are no two people who believe 100% exactly the same in all things of life. So, therefore, all 7.3 billion of us believe different things to be either true or false.

We may not know what is true, but so what. Our own dogged search for the truth via our seeking it from God can be chosen or not chosen per our own freewill.  7.3 billion people believe different things are true. Throughout all of mankind’s history, this has never been the actual source of the problem – beliefs being different. Having different beliefs has always been the way life is, anyway. It’s not a problem, because it’s not the cause of problems. Believing different things are true, is not a problem.

The problem is with how we relate to our beliefs, and therefore, motivate our own actions. In other words, what do we do with our beliefs? What actions do we take regarding our beliefs?

This is where problems arise. With different beliefs, do we choose to bring forth cooperation with others or do we choose to create conflict with others? Do we use our beliefs about what is true or not true to feel an underlying compassion for others or instead an underlying condemning of others? Do we use our beliefs to bring pain and suffering into people’s lives, or do we use our beliefs to motivate us to offer mercy, understanding and tolerance?

The issue is not what we believe, but what we do with our beliefs. Our actions and behaviors – how we relate and respond to others – determines how we walk in this world. It’s possible to believe exactly opposite than someone else, but with both people choosing for themselves to be kind, tolerant and compassionate, there will come to be peace and respect among them. We know people in our lives now, who believe differently than we do, but because they choose to show kindness, respect and patience, we enjoy their company. And there are people in our lives who we may believe so very similar, but yet they choose their behaviors towards others in such a way that we can’t wait to leave the room when they’re in it.

How do we use our beliefs? To help build separation and animosity, or to help build mercy and unity? We can profess to have the highest of beliefs, and even believe that “we know the truth”, but our behaviors and actions will speak more truth than our mind will hold or our mouth will speak. Our behaviors can become so loud, that no one can hear what we profess, anymore.

Actions speak louder than words, and our actions that we demonstrate – loving kindness or condemning judgment – are what shows how we relate to this world full of people. It is truly possible that billions of people can live in peace… and even with different beliefs.

Still, you may believe differently than this, …

and God bless you for it.

Program Information: 2018 – Looking Forward and Going Within

It doesn’t always benefit us to know what possible futures there are, if we don’t know that we can help bring a better future, change a harmful future, or don’t know the best and most effective ways to change the future.

Many times, people have asked me what to do when they get a psychic premonition of a possible problem, disaster or harmful future. My answer is always the same. These events come to us, so that we take steps to help heal, avoid or change the event. We cannot always take physical steps to change a harmful event, but we can ALWAYS take spiritual steps – through prayer as well as sending light through either meditation or other methods.  We may not be able to stop a harmful event completely, but our prayers come with energy to transform the event like a high vibration tuning fork affecting a low vibration tuning fork.

The Feb 10-11, 2018 weekend retreat will help us explore the paths set before us and help us practice the steps which can potentially change paths for the better for all, even if we have differing opinions of what is better.

I have psychically seen the future change many times through our spiritual work and effort. Many paths that had been forewarned about have been changed. Events which had been foreseen have been healed and dissolved through efforts before these events manifest.  In essence, the Light can dissipate the imminent dark clouds.

You are welcome to join us February 10-11, 2018, in learning more of what we can do to help ourselves, friends and families, and the world in which we live by sitting in a comfortable position, closing our eyes, going within, turning our minds to the heavens and raising God’s energy in the world through meditation, prayer and understanding.

Sexual Harassment? Yes, but Look Deeper

We have a lot of news about sexual harassment and sexual predators, people – mostly well-known men – who are charged with misusing their positions of power or influence to harass others sexually.  Because it has been easier than usual to isolate these incidences and charge the people with these abuses, it has been very easy for many people to jump on the band-wagon to condemn and judge those who are singled-out.

The trouble is that the problem has a deeper core.  On the surface, we can easily imagine and see how these harassing incidences play out.  We can also understand how people can take advantage of others.  We have been doing this to each other for millennium after millennium.

But, in looking at this, I’m seeing a deeper issue and cause that is across the board – human related – rather than just being isolated incidences.  I’m seeing sexual harassment on the job as only a symptom of this deeper human-wide issue.

What I see is that the issue is not about sex and power.  It is about respect.  It is about whether we respect other people in other situations, in other circumstances of life, in other genders, other religions, other cultures, other races.  The question is put to us – do we respect others?

It’s easy to say, ‘well, respect has to be earned.’  No, it doesn’t.  No infant has ever been charged with ‘not deserving respect’ because they haven’t yet earned it.  No child has ever been labeled in school – “undeserving of anyone’s respect because they haven’t fulfilled anything deserving it”.  We don’t say at some point, ‘they’ve now grown up, and we can decide whether they’ve earned respect or not.’

As human beings, we don’t think about these things, but in the back of our minds, as family and friends of those infants and children, and without thinking, we hold some level of respect for them automatically.  That level is usually based on the amount of respect we generate in our own heart for human beings in general.

As human beings and spiritual beings, we are born into deserving of Love, of mercy, of kindness, etc., … and of respect.  But, across the board of all human existence, we can see where we fall extremely short on giving that respect, or love or kindness, etc. to others.

When we actively work to respect another person – consciously – we treat that person so much better.  We work to not harm them.  We work to be kind, generous and merciful to them.  We work to forgive them, to support them and to offer them as much of the best of ourselves whenever they need it.

When we actively don’t respect someone, it becomes so easy for us to demonstrate that lack or small amount of respect through abuse of all kinds, harassment, insults, condemnation, judgmental criticism and every other means to demean them and look down on them.  It becomes easy for us to charge them with “no longer deserving respect’.  When we choose to not respect, it becomes easy to mistreat and abuse them.  When we have little or no respect for another person or group of people, it becomes easier for us to enslave and kill them.  (When we have little or no respect for others, subconsciously, we can have little or no respect for our self.)

We usually have in our individual minds and hearts that measuring stick which we hold up to them and say, ‘they don’t deserve respect because…’.  The reasons are vast and numerous.  They don’t deserve respect because of . . . their gender, their race, their religion, their lack of religion, their social status, their occupation, their age, their spiritual beliefs, their country of origin, their education, their location, their behaviors, their lack of behaviors, their affiliations, their past, their present, their future, their X, their Y, their Z and on and on.

Look across the board to all humans and look for some person or group who is giving respect to every human on the planet.  Not someone who is “saying” I give respect, but rather someone who is giving that respect without being asked.  Look far and wide, because when we are honest with ourselves, and respecting what honesty really is – and the level of honesty within ourselves – we will find all of ourselves wanting and failing at respecting all others.  Many women (and men) have been on the receiving end of sexual harassment. All human beings have been on the receiving end of being shown little or no respect.  All human beings have also been on the giving end of ‘little or no respect’ towards another individual or a group (and ourselves.)

For myself, I can think of only 1 man who, in His heart, mind, and soul respected each and every human alive – albeit all life.  And while He may have chastised and warned people against those who said one thing and did another, when it came to His end, He recognized the respect all deserve as children of God in His words of equality and humility -“Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do.”  In essence, saying “Father, they are deserving of forgiveness.  They are deserving of mercy.  They are deserving of the Love You have for them – even that Love through Me.  They are deserving of consideration, of patience, of encouragement, of all You have to give, … and they are deserving of respect… even though they don’t know it or take it on for themselves to bestow it to others.”  He saw then, and He sees today, all of us as His equals deserving all that God gave Him and all God has to give.

As souls, we are innately born into existence with respect from the Father/Mother God.  As souls, we recognize the reality of each of us having our own parcel of the Godhead within our own existence and spirit.  We are all sparks of the Infinite Consciousness of God, and from this Infinite Consciousness of God comes respect as well as the other Spirit Qualities of Love, Compassion, Mercy and others.  These qualities reside within us waiting for us to express them outwardly towards others.  By the very nature of our existence, we are children of God and innately are already deserving of respect, and called to give respect (as well as deserving of love, kindness, mercy, etc. – then called to give love, kindness, mercy, etc) by our very existence.  Yet, we don’t always automatically receive them from others or give them to others.

Every effort we make to change our own ‘lack of respect’ into ‘respecting’ moves us one step closer to creating a better world for all people.  It could help if we remember His words, “Father, forgive them for they know not what they do”, and take them on for ourselves to bring into the world towards others and to ourselves.  In a world one day filled to the brim with our respect for one another, (and other qualities), then we will have Peace on Earth and Goodwill Towards All Men and Women (and all life).

“Sell All You Have and Give it to the Poor…..”

“Sell all you have and give to the poor, then come and follow me.” Mark 10:21

This is a well known story in the New Testament. Most people, if not almost all people, automatically think Christ is talking about money and possessions. After all, the story says Christ was talking to a rich man. The rich man then walked away sad, because he had so much.

I haven’t found any Bible version that says, the rich man was a man with lots of “money”. We assume the story refers to money and material possessions, because the term “rich” usually means this, but take another look at this in relation to the whole of Christ’s message.  Perhaps “rich” means something else.

Christ worked with people all the time. He traveled with them, ate with them, slept with them, and all of these things took money to pay for and required ownership of material things. Food cost money back then like it does today. Clothing cost money back then, too. Sandals, water, wine, all the needs of the body cost money back then.  His followers owned homes, boats, nets, tools of their trades.

So, was Christ saying these words to the ‘rich’ man, and all people with money and possessions? Was Christ saying sell all your possessions and give all your money to the poor?  Was He saying sell your possessions to someone, so that particular someone else will have more possessions?  This is close to what we’ve come to understand from reading this in the New Testament.   Yet, is this all it was?  Money is a tool or resource that can be used wisely. Possessions are useful tools also, to accomplish tasks.  Houses are needed to live inside.  The gist of what Christ said in looking at Christ’s entire message of His life is “Give what you have to those that do not have.”

Looking at this story in relation to all stories of Jesus, perhaps Christ was referring to something greater with more meaning.

What is it that God and Christ gives to us abundantly and without hesitation? What is it that God and Christ bestows upon us infinitely, even though we don’t accept it infinitely?  It  is these things that we have been given and possess in varying degrees of abundance.

It is the Fruits of the Spirit – loving kindness, patience, mercy, forgiveness, compassion, long-suffering, charity and more. This alone does God give us without hesitation, and without limit – even to the point that He could fill us up to overflowing were we open as much.

It is us who then are called to let go of, giving out these qualities, from within ourselves, pouring it forth to give to others that which we have within us. In this light, the message to the rich man becomes something else altogether if he was rich in the presence of Spirit and Love within his heart.

The message to us then becomes “take all the loving-kindness that you have within you, release it from holding on to it, and give it to the poor – those who appear to have no loving-kindness. Take all the mercy that you have within you, and are holding onto, and give to those who demonstrate having no mercy. Take all the patience and forgiveness that you have taken  possession of inside you and give to those who are poor of patience and forgiveness inside them. Take the compassion, the support, the charity, the fruits of the Spirit that you claim as your own bestowed upon you – and give to those who seem to possess none of these qualities.”

This is a different message altogether. To give away our money can be a superficial message referring to that which is external of our Self.  It is appropriate at times, yet, it can also be thought that giving money will buy our way into heaven, even though there’s no such thing as “buying our way into heaven”.

Christ’s message is always more about what is WITHIN us.  With understanding Christ’s life and message as a whole, we can begin to understand this story in a deeper way. His message has always been “Love one another as I have loved you.” And He repeats this to the “rich man”. Take the love I give to you and that you now have within you, and give this love to those who do not have love.

We can now understand why the rich man walked away, also. Because, just how easy is it to love those who don’t love? How easy is it to show compassion to someone who has very little compassion inside him/her? How easy is it to show kindness, patience, mercy or charity to someone who has no mercy inside them, or kindness, or patience or charity inside them?  It isn’t easy at all.

In our world today, we have many that we see as having no compassion, no mercy, no kindness, no patience, and we are called by Christ to “Don’t hold on to all the mercy, kindness, patience, etc that we have been given and is now within us, but rather give it all to those who have none inside them.”

We can understand how such a daunting task today could cause us to turn and walk away.  How can we show mercy and forgiveness to someone who is showing no mercy and no forgiveness? How can we show patience and kindness to someone who is showing no patience and no kindness?  How can we show these qualities to someone who we recently have shown contempt towards or slandered.

Again, there is only one way that we can do this, because “for man, this is impossible. But, with God, all things are possible.”

With God, we can release the loving-kindness within us sending it to someone who has no loving-kindness within them. With God, we can let flow the compassion, understanding and patience to someone who has no compassion or understanding or patience. With God, we can forgive and show mercy to someone who has no forgiveness or mercy within them.

With God, we can patiently and mercifully love those we never thought we could patiently and mercifully love – others, as well as our self. With God.

The Eclipse

There are many functions and messages of the Eclipse. When examined, they can seem more simple than we believed, in a “Of course! It’s so obvious now” kind of way.

One of the more spiritual purposes of the Eclipse is for us have the message to have faith and trust that Light still exists when all around seems dark. The Light has not diminished, just because times seem dark.

One of the more emotional messages of the Eclipse is – with familiarity and effort to discover, explore and understand, we can grow to no longer fear those things which we feared when we did not discover, explore and understand.

One of the more physical messages of the Eclipse, is – the heavens hold wonders which we have yet to see, but each of the wonders which heaven has for us will be shared with us in time on this planet.

One of the more mental/intellectual messages of the Eclipse is – even with an intellectual understanding of how things work, these events still inspire awe.

There are many levels to an event like this. Even though it is a normal event – the sun always casts a shadow on the far side of the moon, even if the shadow only goes out into space – that which is normal or ordinary is still a function of God and the heavens – even if is is so common as to be taken for granted or go unnoticed.

How Not to Be An Activist

Christ, Gandhi and Martin Luther King all demonstrated non-violent activism. They lived lives giving themselves human rights, as well as others, and then living those human rights. Others have tried to take these human rights away, but no one can take away our living of our human rights. We can only throw them away ourselves.

We have to remember that no matter what we fix out in the world – the external world – external to what is within our hearts and minds – that if we do not change ourselves, as well – what is within ourselves – healing that which needs healing, facing the challenges of changing our own self – we will create the exact same problematic world that we live in today. With no change within ourselves, there will be no real change in humanity’s creation of the world.  That which is within is reflected externally.

We can war with each other placing ourselves on either side of the battle, with all efforts still being “to go to war”. We simply tell ourselves that we’re righteous and the other side is in the wrong. This is how war is created. Both sides consider themselves righteous. Both sides consider the other side to be ignorant.  When violence is chosen by both sides – violence of deeds and words – there is no difference in the violence either side inflicts upon the other side whether it’s a violence of deeds or a violence of words. If we ignore the need for the inner change within our own self, we are part of the problem, regardless of which side we’re on and regardless of what changes we seek in the external world.

This may not be the popular view of our world. The popular view is addiction to violence and conflict – where conflict and war are acceptable.

“As souls, we have the freewill choice to choose any and all life options – to stop, turnaround, run away, hide, freeze, get lost, shrink, and say ‘no’, or at any time, we can choose to get back up whenever we fall flat on our face, and renew our feelings and determination to never give up on our seeking Oneness with God.” (The Rainbow Cards, ©, 2017, Jodie Senkyrik)

“He who is determined enough to succeed, will never fail.” Og Mandino.

Why are there so many white supremacists…?

My question to you is, why are there so many white supremacists here in the USA, who profess to be “good” Christians, who continue to hate Jews and accuse us of conspiracy and part of a Synagogue of Satan? Like my parents before me, I am concerned for my children and grandchildren.  Wandering Jew

First, I want to suggest that the real issue isn’t about “white supremacists”.  Everyone who hates even a little contributes to the hatred in the world.  The real issue and therefore the real question is “Why are there so many human beings that hate?”

But, I can offer you two answers to your question as you ask it.

For all human beings – our human hatred of another does not start in a book, nor a religion or culture, nor a form of government, philosophy, organization, scientific discipline, mathematical equation, or any structure that humans have built and use.  Hatred also does not begin inside any bodily characteristic – i.e. from our DNA leading to body differences like skin color.  Hatred starts inside the hearts and minds of each of us separate individuals who of our own freewill chooses for himself and herself what to feel and think, including who and what to fear.  This has been the case for millennia after millennia of humankind’s existence on the Earth.  Both Love and Hate are choices we can make.

Within any of us who chooses hatred with any of it’s various manifesting forms, within ourselves, each of us individual human beings then chooses that identifying  marker outside of the heart, using that structure or belief system or etc., etc., to support, justify or rationalize acting on our human hatred.

We can use each human belief system, societal structure or anything that exists in the world as a tool for building humanity and our relationships or a tool for destroying humanity and our relationships. All of these items then get usurped for any person’s purposes and agendas which we can hold within our own hearts and minds.

Study the basic precepts of all the structures and systems that I’ve mentioned in the paragraphs above and you’ll discover true wisdom and opportunity to unite people lie within them all.  But, not all people choose (freewill again) to practice the wisdom or take the opportunities to unite when they take hold of the precepts.  As I’ve said, we humans can take hold of a particular belief system in order to support and justify our own feelings, beliefs and actions, as well.

***

The second reason is really the real reason.  It is this:  If we look as deep as possible within the souls, hearts and minds of every human individual, we would see such suffering and pain, that could cause any manner of insane acting out, in order to find something that would relieve one’s own tremendous suffering which can exist within anyone for millennia after millennia.  Were we willing to look at anyone’s suffering and pain (even our own,) it would bring a greater understanding to all of us, and give us good reason to disarm our own weapons aimed at someone else.

Imagine two people on opposite sides of every issue saying this same thing directed at the other, “I hate the suffering and pain which your viewpoint causes and adds to mine and others’ lives.”  In effect, this is what is happening.

Healing both sides is a slow process which comes from taking one step at a time, trying over and over working at it, but it is a process that we are involved in through every prayer we pray, every meditations, every act of mercy, every effort at forgiveness and more.  It is difficult but with God, all things are possible.  Because no law can ever stop our prayers, meditations, mercy, forgiveness, patience, loving kindness, compassion, brotherhood, courage, unity and more happening within our hearts, the process of healing for all of us will never be stopped.  God in all His forms that we believe in is committed to this, and will see it through to the completion for all life.  Our calling is not to try to be perfect but to practice each of these – mercy, understanding, loving kindness, etc – in the human experiences that we face.

The harvest is ready.  Who will become a worker?

A Drop of Ocean

Every experience that a human being goes through belongs to every human being. Every experience that any living organism has belongs to every living organism.

Every experience that is part of any galaxy or the entire physical universe belongs to the whole galaxy or whole physical universe.

Everything in the ocean belongs to every drop of the ocean. Everything within the Infinite Consciousness of God belongs to every part of the Infinite Consciousness of God.

All of Infinity belongs to every part of Infinity. All experiences belong to all that can experience.

By the term “belongs to” I mean ‘is inherent to,’ ‘imbibed to’, ‘innate to,’ ‘part of,’ and therefore, ‘no separation from.’

The experience of taking the first step on the moon, belongs to every human being. The experience of turning the gas knob to ‘on’, at the gas chambers of Auschwitz belongs to every human being. Every experience of breaking every athletic record or murdering another person, every act of good and every act of evil belongs to every living organism that has the capacity to experience – from the largest of all things to the smallest of all things.

Every organism or consciousness part of the Infinite by the nature of having no separation, no dis-union, by the nature of being one with Infinite things, … owns all experiences that are experienced.

The Infinite Consciousness of God owns all experiences that are experienced, because no experience happens separate from the Infinite Consciousness of God. All beings and things that have some level of consciousness – which are all things that exist – are part of the Infinite Consciousness of God, and therefore connected to all things that exist.

As we do unto others, therefore, we do unto all Infinity, of which we, ourselves, are included.  This means that both dying on the Cross and knowing the full Glory of God belongs to all of us.

Praying for a Miracle

Miracles are real. Miracles happen. I’ve seen them. I’ve experienced them. I’ve prayed for them specifically, and I’ve had them happen when I asked for them.

I’m not anyone special that I would be favored by God more, or loved more or be considered more worthy. God sees everyone equally, always. God has everyone equally in His/Her heart. Likewise, Christ has everyone equally in His heart.

I don’t know if I help make miracles happen besides praying and asking for them, but I do challenge myself to have faith, constantly. I consider this important, because if I’m asking God for something, then the challenge I give myself is to pray and have faith in Christ – that which He asks – not pretend or as a trick to trade something – which we all try to bargain our way into God’s good stead.

No, the challenge I give myself is to actually have faith that all things are possible with God. I challenge myself to turn my unbeliefs into beliefs – have faith in Christ Jesus – and not just in the easy times, but in the difficult times. This challenges my thinking, challenges my doubts, challenges my heart and all the thoughts and feelings within me. I have to choose to change and then change. I have to choose to not doubt, as much as I have to choose to have faith. I have to choose to not disbelieve as much as I have to choose to believe.

It is a question for me to ask, do I give Christ credit for being Christ? Do I give God credit for being God? Do I recognize that Christ is capable of all the Bible tells me and even more? For me, I am challenged to believe what the centurion said to Jesus – “If you say the word, I know it will be done.” Then open the mind, allow for all possibilities, believe it and have faith.

Christ, Himself, told us we must also pray, and in some of these prayers, I ask specifically for “A Miracle.” In the specific times that I’m thinking of as I write this, the receiving of the miracles were almost instantaneous. I say almost because one time a whole 10 seconds had to pass after I asked for a miracle, (after 3 hours of praying and working on my faith, then trusting that God knows better than I what needs to occur, and accepting that Christ is the Father’s “right hand”.)

Practicing all of this is a lesson in “learning”, also. We are called to know ourselves as spirit beings experiencing physical bodies. We are called to know ourselves as a part of and one with the Infinite Consciousness and Spirit of God. Growing into these are not automatic, but rather done through effort, practice, open-minded learning and choosing of our own freewill to move into this awareness. Learning about miracles is one of these lessons. In fact, there’s a whole course in miracles. The books are called, “A Course in Miracles”, if anyone is interested.

Miracles are real. Miracles happen. And never hesitate to ask God for a miracle.  After you ask, then you get to choose whether to be open-minded to learn or not.

——-

There are online prayer lines where prayers people ask for are listed. These are sincere prayers being asked for. One can add their own and pray for the others. When I pray for the others, I can sense the real need and the real calling to prayer.

Window Dressing for Mannequins

What is “living from spirit”?  What is “living from spirituality”?  What is “Spirit”?

I’m going to answer this way.  We have all chosen certain lifestyles.  For the quote Spiritually-minded person unquote, a certain lifestyle is chosen.

Unfortunately, people start thinking that the lifestyle is what is Spirit in our lives.

Too many times, I’ve seen any number of us decorate our homes with the “right spiritually-minded” things.  We go to the right “spiritually-minded” restaurants.  We attend the right “Spiritually-minded” events.  We have the right “spiritually-minded” clothing.  We eat the right “spiritually-minded” foods.  We vote “spiritually-minded” for the right candidates.  We practice the right “spiritually-minded” exercise.  Yet, it’s all window dressing, because it is external from our heart and consciousness.  We’re going by what we think in our head or lifestyle that we consider “spiritually-based”.  As one person said, “It’s vanity.”

Window dressers are decorating a manikin and manikins aren’t real people.

Being human, even when we wear the right clothing, and attend or teach the right classes, we can still blame others for our own issues and problems in our lives.  We blame others in our relationship problems.  We project our shortcomings and dislikes onto others.  We can hold resentments, judgements, bitterness and all likes of other issues.

How many people do you know that blame Republicans for the problems in this nation – or blame Democrats – or blame men – or blame women – or blame this group or that group or this person or that, etc. etc. etc.

Sad.

I know some car mechanics who know who they are more than some window dressing “spiritually-minded” people who do the right spiritually-minded things, and say the right spiritually minded words.  Some of these who know themselves – even a car mechanic – lead quiet lives of service to others with no window dressing at all – wearing dirty overalls, with grease under their fingernails and worn out t-shirts.  No one of any level of awareness knows that a Bodhisattva (your word, not mine) lives near by and the B. couldn’t care less about the label.

No amount of decorating with the right wall decorations or playing the right music or going to the right circle dances or eating the right foods or attending the right psychic faire, or anything outside ourselves will of itself be any answer to what we really seek.

We seek our self.  But more often than not, we reject this as the answer to our problems.  And the reason we reject this answer is because we reject our self.  We think so little of our-self that we believe we couldn’t possibly be the answer to what we seek.  We think “our self is so unworthy of being sought”.  So, we add more window dressing and eat the right foods and say the right words, and attend the right events, and continue to think so little of ourselves.

And when we finally come to realize that we think so little of our own self, we blame others for this – our parents, our spouse, our children, the Republicans, the Democrats, the president, men, women, etc. etc. etc. (take your pick.) for our own attitudes about our self.

Sad.

The journey within is just that.  It is a journey to find out the truth about our self, and why we think so little of our self that we start to decorate our life to distract us from how little we think of our self.  We can then start thinking the decoration is what “Spirit” is all about.

The answer is and will always be to seek our own self.  To know oneself.  Why do I feel this way about that person or group?  How does condemning others, blaming others or criticizing others serve me?  Why do I blame that political group or this religious group?  Am I willing to be more honest with myself in my answers?

We are a cosmos unto ourselves – a true cosmos.  The journey will one day start, and we will reach the deepest parts of our self in this journey.  But, the journey won’t progress when we choose instead to window dress the manikins – the external – and ignore the internal.

So, the answer to the questions at the beginning?  Every human on this planet, (every life form on this planet) in truth of fact, is on a very real spiritual path.  Even the ones we blame for all the external window dressings that we don’t like.  The cosmos that we seek isn’t “out there”.   When we finally get it, we’ll realize “out there” is just window dressing manikins.

What may strike so many as a horrible statement is that the real issue here isn’t what happens with the Earth or our physical life, (it will one day pass away in a destruction like how it was born) the real issue to focus on is what happens within us – in our hearts and minds.

Where do we window dress compassion?  Not on the walls.  Where do we apply forgiveness and understanding, patience and mercy?  Not starting in a set of exercises or the food we eat or the people we vote for.  Rather, in our day to day activities, from the moment we wake up in the morning to the moment we go back to sleep, relating to our self and the others in our lives and to the aspects of our lives that we come face to face with every day – like road rage, and clerks at the grocery store, or politicians in the news.

Our spiritual practice does not have the Earth and it’s inhabitants as what we need to change first and foremost.  Our own heart, mind and soul is what we change, first and foremost.  This is the greatest of purposes of a spiritual practice – to change from resentment, dishonesty with ourselves, bitterness and more to practicing patience, understanding, and tolerance.   From condemning another to recognizing that when we condemn one person, we are condemning our self.  From shaming another person, or assigning guilt, to realizing that when we shame one person, or assign guilt, we are shaming all of life and assigning guilt to all life – including our self.

When we change that which is within our hearts towards others, we are, in truth of fact, changing the world we live in – because we just changed one of the world’s inhabitants – an inhabitant that helps to create the world, helped to create it before and will again.  And that doesn’t necessarily need yoga pants to do.

Of course, if the dressing of manikins is your meditation practice, let it lead you within, to find out why you are who you are, and God bless you for it.  Remember, even taking out the garbage that goes to the landfill can serve as a spiritual practice, especially if we bless the garbage as something useful for those life forms here in 10,000-50,000 years.

Coming to Our Senses?

I was thinking about your comment that 9/11 is a lessening of what would have occurred if it weren’t for prayers. However, millions of people died because of 9/11 – in Iraq, in Libya, in Syria. Our rights have been severely restricted and people have been tortured and had their lives taken away from them by imprisonment. It appears to me that there was no abatement in suffering and that 9/11 and its aftermath will create more before this madness ends.

Is an economic collapse necessary to bring people to their senses? Is it necessary to defund and dismantle the war machine? Will the US finally look inward when things come crashing down?  Lisa H

You are right.  Millions of people died because of the 9/11 attack. You’re also right that there is no abatement in the existence and presence of suffering. But, all I say now is recorded in the Akashic Records available for all to investigate. That future of which we were able to heal so much, the future which included the prayers and meditations of millions of people bringing forth change, the future which these millions were able to raise the vibrations of this whole planet through spiritual effort – is a future which had been helped to be avoided where billions of people would have died instead. There would have been suffering for all humanity for a whole generation and longer still.

The planet itself was slated to undergo cataclysmic destruction from energy and consciousness patterns destined to manifest.  Through the great effort of so many, who brought forth the love, mercy, compassion, cooperation and all manners of other help, so much has been healed.  But, so much has not yet been healed, also.

What we see today is still great suffering.  Yet, there is a great difference, because of what has been healed and therefore avoided because of the healing. Are there still serious problems? Absolutely.  “Is an economic collapse necessary to bring people to their senses?” An economic collapse would NOT bring people to their senses.

Are you asking what would bring people to their senses? My answer is not the answer you might look for. You’re asking for an external event to trigger people looking inwardly. External events don’t bring about civilizations to look inward. Internal events bring about individuals looking inwardly. Internal events only happen when individuals of their own freewill choose to be open in their hearts and minds to have internal events happen.  So, what would bring people to their senses?

Patience. A quality which so many deem so insignificant and unworthy that it is ignored and dismissed without so much as a second thought. Patience is a quality which people feel is so unimportant that few seek to develop this quality, (and many choose not to at all.)  Yet, in patience we will know our very souls – because of walking our path to go within to seek our own souls. And in knowing our souls, we will recognized our innate inner spiritual nature, knowing then that we are eternal spiritual beings with Infinity within us and at our fingertips, not fleshly beings that have to fight each other for every scrap of physical food.

This Earth is not our spiritual home.  We come from the awareness of our spirit nature, and in time, we will return to the awareness of our spirit nature.  Christ said to all of us, “I go to prepare a place for you.”  This is the place in consciousness where we are once again aware of the truth and existence of being spirit.  We are spirit beings, born in the spirit image of God.  Because Jesus Christ has completed the spiritualization of the Earth, this transformation of consciousness – from believing we are flesh beings to being aware that we are spirit beings – is guaranteed, but not in a single lifetime.  Neither God, nor Christ, nor so many other souls helping will give up on any soul.  God has willed that no soul shall perish – forever destined to believe they are a fleshly, separated being.  And so, the path is slow, so that no soul is left behind – not a single soul.

Hence, patience with one another and patience with ourselves is to be learned.  And with God, learning patience is possible.

Previous Article: Love and Hate

The previous article was heavy.  It wasn’t very uplifting, inspirational, supportive or light.  Hatred is like that, isn’t it.

God’s gift to us isn’t hatred.  God’s gift to us, is that which we are made of – that which is our very essence – that which our spirit existence is based on – Love.  Love is our essence.  Love is our substance.  Love is the material of which we are made of.  God made us in His/Her own image and that image is Love.  We are made out of the spirit substance that is known and recognized to be Love.  For this reason, and from this substance, we live and exist.

We naturally gravitate to love, are attracted to love and long for love.  To all of us beings, love is the round peg finding a round hole – a square peg finding a square hole.

In contrast, we must struggle with all our might to avoid love, to disconnect from love and to push love away (and we do that.)  We must work hard to deny love, because our very own essence is what we are denying.

Many will say, “rubbish” to all this, in an effort to run away from love, in an effort to push away love, in an effort to say “no” to love – which in turn, is running away from ourselves, pushing our self away and saying no to our self.  We do this, because we’re so used to thinking this way – to say no to love.

Being True to Ourselves

We need not do anything to be true to Love.  We need not reach outward to find it, but rather settle into it.   We need not carry out any thought or activity in order to be the essence of love, because it is the substance of which our spirit is made of.  Even if we have shown very little of this essence of which we are, we were created at the beginning of existence as love, and we will exist as love – as our self and the true essence of our self – for all eternity.  Nothing will change this truth – no thought, no action, no behavior.  This is true for every living being.

The challenge is for us to choose how, and when we express the “true-ness” of our love existence.  At any moment, we can choose in that moment to express our true self, or on the other hand, express any of the other imagined necessary reactions to the experiences we consider not worthy of love or not worthy of a form of love.

God is the Consciousness of Love – the Infinite Consciousness of Infinite Love.  All the different levels of consciousness which we perceive in the Earth, from the “lowest” form of life to the highest form, are part of this Infiniteness and what is being referred to here.  Therefore, every action, thought, and behavior impacts God and therefore ripples out to Infinity and our self.

If we are unwilling to make these choice to express the truth of the substance of our essence – love – to be our self – our true self, how can we expect others around us or those we are aware of through the media or in positions of prominence to make these choices. If we choose to demonstrate expressions of “non-self/non-love”, how can we expect others to demonstrate the self that is love in return to us. If we are not willing to change our own expressing of that which is not love, how can we expect those who are learning from observing us – our personal example (of which their are many) to learn to change their ways of expressing.

From the essence of the substance of God that we call our individual self with our freewill, we choose how we express life in this world.  No one can force us to hate.  We can only agree to it.  Likewise no one can force anyone to love.  We can only decide to be willing and then carry love out.

Regardless of how much we argue that we were forced to act a certain harmful way, we still know that we were not forced to feel the feelings that led to that harmful act.  We were not forced to think the thoughts that fed the feelings.  We were not forced to perceive the other as worthy of harmful acts.

***

What this means is the phrase, “Be yourself” has a bigger meaning.  For us to be ourselves, we need only to be willing to love and to be loved – in other words, to BE LOVE – to exist as our self – Love.

It’s not easy, but with desire, hope, practice, patience, forgiveness, mercy, compassion and effort one day at a time, we can let ourselves be ourselves, more and more.

“Hatred is Not Justice”

(The title is a quote from the book, “Nosso Lar” by Francisco Cândido Xavier.  It is translated from Portuguese to English in the book, “Astral City”. )

There are many people in the world right now, who currently say that their hatred leads them to bring justice.  We see and hear many people all over the world saying that their hatred brings justice.  But, all sane people know that their saying this, doesn’t make it true.  Yet, frustratingly, like the others, all of us still have times when we grasp hold of the idea thinking that with our hatred, we can enact justice.

But, hatred is not justice.  When we catch ourselves and step back – stepping back from our own hatred, which we can do, albeit asking God’s help to do this – we can acknowledge that the words of the title statement are true words.

In the moments of hatred rising, why do we take hold of the idea that hatred might bring justice?  More often, it is because of our suffering.  We may believe that to be rid of the pain of hatred as well as the suffering of others or our own being attacked by our human brothers and sisters, we must act out of hatred in return, calling it justice.

But, hatred is not justice.  God’s gift to us is not hatred.  In that vein, we may wonder, ‘then what do we do with criminals and terrorist’s?’

There are many things we can do.  We start with God.  Our prayers, our meditations, our acts from the heart – all of these are where we start.  In addition, as the human race, throughout human history, we also have progressed on a path of developing laws designed to govern behavior.  This evolutionary path is not finished.  We are not at the end of evolving lawfully or socially.   Our efforts to walk a higher road has led humans to strive to design laws and create consequences to breaking those laws according to ever higher principles of honest justice.

For us as individuals, we can take a look at our self.  We can choose to let the statement live in our own behaviors and choices. This can help us as individuals to choose a different behavior towards the people in our lives and the people who we only know about on TV.  We can choose to hold onto the principle that hatred is not justice, and then look for ways to make it real in our day-to-day lives, activities and relationships.

When we choose to remember that hatred is not justice, we can also act from this awareness towards those who think that their hatred is their source of justice.  When we act from hatred, we don’t always realize that our hatred is the same as others’ hatred.  We may deny our hatred, and they do, too.  We may justify our hatred, but so do they.  In the end, where is the difference in hatreds?

There are too many examples in the news, every day, of when people act from the belief that their hatred is different – their hatred is righteous – their hatred is justified – their hatred is a gift from God.  No one religion holds the monopoly on these acts of hatred – every philosophy and religion has people who have acted believing hatred (whether in large ways or small ways) is their way to justice.

But, hatred is not justice.  We will evolve beyond hatred, learning this, if we remember one day at a time, that justice does exist, even though we may never, in our own minds and our own paradigms, understand fully how it could be.  We can evolve beyond hatred, with God’s help.  We can evolve beyond hatred through our prayers, our meditations, one day at a time, through our efforts on each day that we remember God and God’s Infinite and unending Love for each of us.

God will never give up on teaching us – “hatred is not justice” – that God is the Justice we seek, in addition to God being Infinite Understanding, Infinite Patience, Infinite Kindness, Infinite Love, Infinite Forgiveness, Infinite Peace, Infinite Mercy and more.

These are God’s true gifts to us.
