Visions

“At different times, I’ve had visions of destructive events.  What are these about?”  K.F.

Many people have visions of events of a potentially destructive or harmful nature.  It is important to know that these events are never set in stone.  There is no future that cannot be changed.  When we receive these visions, we are being called to act.  If we can physically act to help a potential event, then it is good to do so.  If we can’t physically do anything about the event, then we can pray or meditate for the healing of these events to whatever degree we can accomplish.  We can change the future – these visions- through pray and meditation for healing asking that the Light of God come more into these circumstances.  We are being called to do just this.

When God’s help is sought for any event, presently happening, or potentially set to happen, great healing and better results become possible.  As Christ said, “With God all things are possible.”  Through our prayers, our meditations, our efforts towards the highest and best in any way, the outcome of these visions can change.  This is because when we pray, when we meditate, and when we put forth effort to help, God’s power and healing becomes real in the world and can affect changes in ways we may not understand or recognize – but are real and effective nonetheless.  The level of effectiveness then is based on the level of our effort in our prayers and meditations that all then put forth.

When these visions happen, take time to pray, and to meditate, sending prayers, whatever light and healing energy one can to help with healing the situation and circumstances described in the vision.  But remember, knowing whether our efforts are successful or not, is not necessarily going to happen.  Even with these events and our efforts, we are called to have faith that bringing God into a situation will have a greater impact on the situation than if we did nothing at all.

“Imagine your life if you put no effort of any kind into it. Imagine your life if you put as much effort as possible into it.

Imagine your life if you put no effort towards prayer of any kind into it. Imagine your life if you put as much effort towards prayer as possible into it.”  [The Rainbow Cards]

  1. I have been doing alot of study about spiritualty and even today as I was meditating I realize praying about healing for our nation and God was once of my consciousness awareness and awakening. I learned more in these last few months form reading Edgar Cayce than all the books in the library. I do read the bible too! The one thing I do not understand about religion (man made) is the way they contradict themselves sometimes being hypocritical than teaching to love all and non judgement. I know I am still working on my faults also. Anyway I do believe prayer is an absolute healing and the more prayers the more good in the world and I still believe we will all be in peace oneday. Maybe not in my lifetime but we are all a oneness. God bless you and I love your articles. Sincerely, Jeannie

  2. Thank you for your comments and your compliments. The Edgar Cayce readings do indeed hold a wealth of information on a huge number of subjects. Do check out the A.R.E. website if you’d like more information. They also have links to your local area A.R.E. offerings.

With regards to your comments about religions contradicting themselves – in one way this can be seen as a reflection of the diversity of experiences which leads one to develop understanding and beliefs. We all develop our religious belief system/paradigm from many things, including what others teach us and what we experience individually, among other sources. No two people can ever learn the exact same things from others, and no two people can ever have the exact same experiences all through their lives. So, we can do nothing but grow to have differing opinions and beliefs about almost all things.

Sure, we also have similarities, but no two people are ever exactly alike. This is an important point, because we can also say that God gave each of us a little bit of truth, and it’s up to us to share it with each other so we can learn more. The deeper we study each of the different religions, the more it’s possible to find similarities.

The problems – hypocrisy and conflict – that we see in the world, though, come from another direction.

What Jesus showed us was also “how to teach”. He taught by living that which he sought to teach. He demonstrated his message – Love God above all else and Love your neighbor as yourself. He lived his message.

It’s true for us as well. Whether we know it or not, we teach what we live out. What we demonstrate in our life, by the way we live, is what we teach, whether good or bad. Others learn from us from how we live our lives – again – whether good or bad – and whether hypocrisy or harmony.

With there being conflict and hypocrisy inside of ourselves when we deal with our self, we also are going to demonstrate conflict and hypocrisy when we relate to others, society and the world. Who we are inside of ourselves, as individuals and in turn as groups, today reflects in our religions, our political systems and our other arenas of social relating. We see hypocrisy in religions because it is within us as individuals. We see conflict because it is within us as individuals.

Hypocrisy and conflict don’t start in churches, religions and halls of government. It starts in the hearts of individuals. When we have no more conflict or hypocrisy within our self, we will no longer have it in our religions and social structures. It is for each of us to heal the conflict and hypocrisy within our self.

Therein will be our way of teaching the elimination of hypocrisy and conflict to others, and in turn, eventually the world. It is the method Jesus Christ is using. It is true of all of us – we teach as we live.

Keep praying for healing for all life. Prayers for healing will be more effective than not praying for healing. And remember it’s okay to ask Jesus to pray with us, after all, He asks us to pray with Him.

  3. I appreciate the response to the question. You are so right and I am working hard on my self to become one with all. I know that all is connected in God’s eye and self. But I appreciate the lesson passed on and I am on a continual basis of learning. Thank you so much for the insight, sincerely Jeannie
