Politics !

We’re right in the thick of it. And it has become more serious for many people in today’s times than it has been ever before. There is a spiritual factor unseen in the world, which also is having an influence. But, the spiritual factor is not what one might assume right off.

From the Spiritual perspective, everything requires looking “deeper into the waters” to understand the fullness of the circumstances and happenings in the world. If we only see things “as we always see things”, we are looking at the surface of circumstances. Rarely does the surface give any clues to what is in the depths where the spiritual forces and influences reside.

To begin with, anyone who has listened to my Nov. 2016 election reading which I’ve made available free of charge, here on the blogsite, knows that, contrary to popular beliefs and feelings right or left, “Things are happening the way they’re supposed to happen.”

How can I say this? I say this in this same way that Christ said to Pontuis Pilate as Christ stood waiting for his fate, “You have authority over me, because God gave it to you.”

This is true today just as much as 2000 years ago. The challenge then put to Pontius Pilate as it is put to all of us given authority or power of any kind – “Now, what are you going to do with this authority?”

All souls are given their turn to pursue that which they believe is their opportunity. This means that God holds no soul as more or less deserving to have a chance to pursue Earthly positions of authority or power. Everyone gets their chance – not all in the same lifetime – but, whether in a past life, the present or a future life, at some point, our turn comes up.

Because we tend to see the quality of work others do, and in turn, think we can do a better job, we put it in our soul to pursue “doing that better job”. Whether we’ve built a spiritual foundation within our hearts determines how we do in our turn.  By spiritual foundation, I mean living from that place which can never be touched by politics – the place from within us in which loving kindness, compassion, patience, forgiveness, mercy, understanding, brotherhood, gentleness, honesty, charity, and other fruits of the spirit come.

This spiritual foundation is based on Unselfishness at the deepest core within our very soul – the part of our soul that stands in front of the face of God and says whether we’re ready or not to move forward. We can choose to speak the truth to God of our readiness and desire, and in doing so, speak the truth to ourselves, or we can choose to lie to God and in doing so lie to ourselves.

FYI, God accepts our choice to lie and does not punish us for lying to God or to ourselves. This is because we have the opportunity then to learn from the results of our lying for ourselves. The saying, “God punishes souls by giving them what they want” plays out in this circumstance, although it’s not really punishment and in truth, comes from our own chosen actions.

This is relevant to politics in some obvious ways and some hidden ways. Politics is mostly a 3rd chakra arena – win/lose, fight/flight, control/controlled, and the like. Service for others, however, begins a movement into the 4th chakra. So, there is a potential for blending of the two chakras.

The individual ideals which we hold at the center of our journey into politics can guide us into either focusing on our 4th chakra energy or reverting back into our 3rd chakra energy.

Although politics tends to be viewed as one side against the other side, there are some that view it as trying to find ways to try to bring both sides together. Our ability to step back and observe our self determines which of these two is our self. Is there a middle ground we can meet in?

Some of us hold on to the “us vs. them” paradigm all the way through, but it doesn’t have to be that way. The Bible tells us, “Agree with thine adversary quickly.” This is because of the principles of perception – that we only know our own experiences – having only walked in our own shoes 24/7, 365 days a year for our entire life. We’ve never experienced living anyone else’s life.

This is why that “other” person’s experiences which has led them to develop their own particular paradigm, are relevant and worthy of being considered, and in turn, be recognized as having been learned – FOR THEM – with they having walked in their own shoes all their life. This is how others can “be right” and yet be 180 degrees opposite of our own “being right”.

We gain a “knowing” of our experiences and learning by walking in our own shoes. The other person gains a “knowing” of their experiences and learning by walking in their own shoes. It is the way of things. The heads side of the coin will never be the tail side of the coin and vice versa. But, yet, there is a way to bring both sides of the coin together.

All souls are valid in our path of learning. All of our paths are different and will teach us many different things. We value what we’ve learned more than what we haven’t yet learned, because we “know” it, and in the “knowing” of it, also know it is worthwhile to have learned it.

Christ’s words, “What does it benefit us to gain all we want if we lose our soul in the process?” are relevant in politics. There is a lot of “wanting” and “gain” and “us vs. them” in politics. The challenge is to pursue what we seek, but learn how to stay in the 4th chakra with regards to what we pursue, and hold on to that which is the most important factor involved in this arena – that quality and energy held within the 4th chakra.

As voters rather than someone running for office, our unselfish service can come in the form of praying for others, including our elected officials, or letting go of the “us vs. them” paradigm, while holding on to the awareness that our brotherhood/sisterhood/human-hood is more important than what we seek to gain in the 3rd chakra arena of politics. When we move into the 4th chakra, we move into an arena of service. We can then recognize that with this level of service, everybody can win, because we’re “all in this world together”. In turn, being aware that each opposing “side” holds only 1 part of the whole, and is not the whole by itself.

We have a lot to learn being human. Having walked in our own shoes in life, we have gained an understanding, and can share what we’ve gained, but there are so many other souls’ shoes we haven’t walked in, and can only gain that understanding when we listen to others share the stories of their walking in their own shoes.

PS.  Let there be no mistake – this takes a lot of work – to return ourselves to our spiritual center over and over, each time we stumble and close off our 4th chakra to those “others”.  But, each time we work to stay on or return to our spiritual path – to stay open to all life, we can feel our own return to our path and understand the importance of our efforts.  It is these efforts which will change the world far beyond anything politics can ever offer.

Is There Real Magic?

Is there real magic?

Yes, it lies in the ways that love, forgiveness, patience, kindness and mercy can heal the heart, the mind and the soul.

It lies in the way that cooperation can bring people together to accomplish great tasks, can transform enemies into friends,
can fulfill the maxim that the prayers of a few will save many, and the prayers of many will save a country.

It lies in meditation, which can lift us above our own shortcomings, above our own resentments, bitterness and stumbling blocks.

It lies in the way that willingness to have an open mind and an open heart can reveal long hidden deep secrets about life and love, ourselves and even God, which we’ve not been aware of before.

It lies in the ways that kindness, compassion and charity can change the face of any individual from a face of pain and suffering to a face of thankfulness and relief.

It lies in the ways that faith really can move mountains – faith in God, faith in one’s Self, and faith in others – each of these opening doors to the Spirit of God working within any who are willing and the recognizing of such.

It lies in the ways that all of these can open the locked door of ourselves which Christ stands behind, saying “I stand at the door and knock”, thus welcoming Him in.

Yes, there is real magic, but we just don’t call it that.  We call it the presence of God, and the touch of Christ.

What is Long-Suffering?

There are many teachings which say we are meant to learn long-suffering as much as to develop kindness, compassion, love, mercy, oneness, etc. Many of us intellectually shy away from this with great energy.  There is a perspective that long-suffering is the choosing of suffering, when instead we could choose to not suffer.  The idea of not suffering is a very popular one.  As human beings, we know suffering all too well, as we’ve all gone through it and all been witness to it.

And yet, …

we are meant to learn long-suffering, so, as humans, we do learn it and mostly learn it without realizing it is also a part of being alive. Here are some experiences in which we have learned it.

1. Long-suffering is seeing someone cause suffering to another person/persons, and our wanting to but being unable to stop it.

2. Long-suffering is the awareness of the suffering of people in faraway lands, with us not having the ability to change it except in seemingly small ways from so far away.

3. Long-suffering is seeing people and other lives in need, but not being able to help them except through prayer.

4. Long-suffering is knowing people, like ourselves, going through horrors which we know could be ourselves on any other day.

5. Long-suffering is caring about another person, but not being able to save them from themselves or the path of pain they choose.

6. Long-suffering is loving a child, and not able to completely protect them from the world’s dangers or the world’s horrors.

7. Long-suffering is loving a parent and not able to stop their body or their brain from breaking down and losing themselves during a very long, slow process of disappearing.

8. Long-suffering is doing the best we can, and still it’s not good enough for those who criticize and judge.

9. Long-suffering is knowing the path of pain which we have walked, but still being judged so easily by those who don’t know our life.

10. Long-suffering is dying on a cross and some of our last prayers being for help for others in “Father, forgive them for they know not what they do.”

11. Long-suffering is offering a beautiful, wonderful, healing, joy-filled, loving Sacred Truth to others but it being rejected with mocking and contempt.

12. Long-suffering is when we offer real water to someone dying of thirst, and they reject it choosing instead their familiarity to dying of thirst.

13. Long-suffering is knowing all we have to offer some people is love, but they would have none of it.

14. Long-suffering is having received regular prejudice, hatred, violence, injustice, harm and worse because of who and what we are, yet knowing that others who are like us in some way (color, race, religion, gender, etc) – even those we love with all our hearts – could receive the same prejudice, hatred, violence, pain, suffering and/or horrors that we have received and we can’t protect them from it.

15. Long Suffering is believing in God, but knowing that innocence, unselfishness and goodness, as within Christ, will not stop others whose agenda is for themselves only and them to hate, harm or even kill people.

16. Long suffering is realizing deep inside that the horrors of the world don’t just happen to “other people” and not ourselves. The horrors of the world can and many times do happen also to ourselves and those we love.

17. Long suffering is only experienced by those people who choose to experience oneness with life, who see life eye-to-eye equal with others, who seek to let others know they are not alone, who seek to help heal all life.

Part of long-suffering is realizing there’s little we can do to change others’ immediate sorrow and pain – sometimes nothing that is quick and responsive. But, as we pray, which calls for us to be patient and endure the suffering, along with others who may feel hopelessness, we can pray, choosing the faith which, with our prayers, comes healing and change.

We experience long-suffering, because we are human beings, we care, we love, and we keep on keeping on, even with pain in our hearts and tears in our eyes.  We believe that healing can come and so we endure.  We rarely choose “learning long suffering”.  But, we find we experience it as part of living, loving and being loved.

This, and more, is long-suffering.

“Sell All You Have and Give it to the Poor…..”

“Sell all you have and give to the poor, then come and follow me.” Mark 10:21

This is a well known story in the New Testament. Most people, if not almost all people, automatically think Christ is talking about money and possessions. After all, the story says Christ was talking to a rich man. The rich man then walked away sad, because he had so much.

I haven’t found any Bible version that says, the rich man was a man with lots of “money”. We assume the story refers to money and material possessions, because the term “rich” usually means this, but take another look at this in relation to the whole of Christ’s message.  Perhaps “rich” means something else.

Christ worked with people all the time. He traveled with them, ate with them, slept with them, and all of these things took money to pay for and required ownership of material things. Food cost money back then like it does today. Clothing cost money back then, too. Sandals, water, wine, all the needs of the body cost money back then.  His followers owned homes, boats, nets, tools of their trades.

So, was Christ saying these words to the ‘rich’ man, and all people with money and possessions? Was Christ saying sell all your possessions and give all your money to the poor?  Was He saying sell your possessions to someone, so that particular someone else will have more possessions?  This is close to what we’ve come to understand from reading this in the New Testament.   Yet, is this all it was?  Money is a tool or resource that can be used wisely. Possessions are useful tools also, to accomplish tasks.  Houses are needed to live inside.  The gist of what Christ said in looking at Christ’s entire message of His life is “Give what you have to those that do not have.”

Looking at this story in relation to all stories of Jesus, perhaps Christ was referring to something greater with more meaning.

What is it that God and Christ gives to us abundantly and without hesitation? What is it that God and Christ bestows upon us infinitely, even though we don’t accept it infinitely?  It  is these things that we have been given and possess in varying degrees of abundance.

It is the Fruits of the Spirit – loving kindness, patience, mercy, forgiveness, compassion, long-suffering, charity and more. This alone does God give us without hesitation, and without limit – even to the point that He could fill us up to overflowing were we open as much.

It is us who then are called to let go of, giving out these qualities, from within ourselves, pouring it forth to give to others that which we have within us. In this light, the message to the rich man becomes something else altogether if he was rich in the presence of Spirit and Love within his heart.

The message to us then becomes “take all the loving-kindness that you have within you, release it from holding on to it, and give it to the poor – those who appear to have no loving-kindness. Take all the mercy that you have within you, and are holding onto, and give to those who demonstrate having no mercy. Take all the patience and forgiveness that you have taken  possession of inside you and give to those who are poor of patience and forgiveness inside them. Take the compassion, the support, the charity, the fruits of the Spirit that you claim as your own bestowed upon you – and give to those who seem to possess none of these qualities.”

This is a different message altogether. To give away our money can be a superficial message referring to that which is external of our Self.  It is appropriate at times, yet, it can also be thought that giving money will buy our way into heaven, even though there’s no such thing as “buying our way into heaven”.

Christ’s message is always more about what is WITHIN us.  With understanding Christ’s life and message as a whole, we can begin to understand this story in a deeper way. His message has always been “Love one another as I have loved you.” And He repeats this to the “rich man”. Take the love I give to you and that you now have within you, and give this love to those who do not have love.

We can now understand why the rich man walked away, also. Because, just how easy is it to love those who don’t love? How easy is it to show compassion to someone who has very little compassion inside him/her? How easy is it to show kindness, patience, mercy or charity to someone who has no mercy inside them, or kindness, or patience or charity inside them?  It isn’t easy at all.

In our world today, we have many that we see as having no compassion, no mercy, no kindness, no patience, and we are called by Christ to “Don’t hold on to all the mercy, kindness, patience, etc that we have been given and is now within us, but rather give it all to those who have none inside them.”

We can understand how such a daunting task today could cause us to turn and walk away.  How can we show mercy and forgiveness to someone who is showing no mercy and no forgiveness? How can we show patience and kindness to someone who is showing no patience and no kindness?  How can we show these qualities to someone who we recently have shown contempt towards or slandered.

Again, there is only one way that we can do this, because “for man, this is impossible. But, with God, all things are possible.”

With God, we can release the loving-kindness within us sending it to someone who has no loving-kindness within them. With God, we can let flow the compassion, understanding and patience to someone who has no compassion or understanding or patience. With God, we can forgive and show mercy to someone who has no forgiveness or mercy within them.

With God, we can patiently and mercifully love those we never thought we could patiently and mercifully love – others, as well as our self. With God.

God Loves Ordinary People

God doesn’t need spiritual giants in order to work through for Him/Her to be present in our world. God doesn’t need people of great wisdom or anyone who is good at doing public speaking. God doesn’t need anyone special.

God can and does work through ordinary people – like us. God can and does work through any person who has the capacity to love. God can and does work through any person who is willing to help in some way. God can and does work through any person who can be open.

Each of us who opens our hearts and minds to assist or help in some way, opens a channel for the Consciousness of God to be active within that person. Sure, we may not be aware of the Consciousness of God, in those moments, but Christ walked among us and appeared as an ordinary human being.  He can work through us, and it seem like an ordinary experience.

The determining factor is that when we have our hearts and minds open – willing to help someone who may need help – we are focused on an “other” person rather than ourselves. We aren’t concerning ourselves with what benefits our self, or what we get out of something, but rather we are focused on the well-being of another person or many other people.

Christ said, “As the Father is in me, so am I in you.” He also said, “I and the Father are one.” Any time we act from love or kindness or compassion or mercy or patience or any of the other fruits of the spirit, the Infinite Consciousness of God is present, because there is no separation between Christ and Love, God and Love, and therefore, God and us when we act from love. The Spirit of Love comes through us instantly when we love another.

Unfortunately, our own consciousness is not able to conceive of an Infinite Consciousness. It’s sort of like trying to teach a turtle how to perform algebra. There is no comparative conception going on. But, conceiving of an Infinite Consciousness doesn’t have to happen for us to love, and therefore for the Spirit of Infinite Love to be part of the experience.

We are ordinary people. God loves to work through ordinary people, because there are so many of us.  He/She/We can touch more people with the love, kindness, mercy, patience, etc that we have within us. And God can then bless us with His Infinite Healing presence in those moments when we are open and loving kindness is extended to each other.  We may not call it an Act of God, but anywhere Love is, God is.

“Love one another as I have loved you.” God asks us to do this, also for the reason that He then gets to be more present and active in our life when we do.

The Prejudice We Don’t Know

Everyone knows prejudice – what it is – that it exists – that it contributes to the pain and suffering of human beings.   During our own lives and in our past, we’ve seen prejudice be at the core of oppression, suffering, and the killing of people.  We see it without trying to find it.

Like a ball, it has many sides.  Contrary to some beliefs, understanding prejudice is not a black and white understanding – either knowing it or not knowing it.  Recognizing prejudice is not a black and white experience – either seeing it or not seeing it.  Human prejudice is as visible and invisible as the human psyche and spirit permits.

This is partly because very few know how to cleanse themselves of prejudice.

This is because the real issue is never whether we are prejudiced or not.  As difficult as it is to read this statement, it is true.  The real issue is different.  The real issue is how do we cleanse ourselves of prejudice.

Imagine if God, in His/Her ability for Infinite Possibilities, one day when we woke up, had turned us from what we are in this world into another race or the opposite gender, or a different religion or sexual orientation or different nationality, an opposite or different… anything – than who and what we are right now – all while we stayed aware of all of this transformation.  In one moment, we went from one identity and paradigm of who we are to an opposite in the next moment.  Impossible, but not for God – since “it just happened.”

How would we feel being aware of who we were one moment and then being aware that we’re no longer who we were but we’re now the opposite?  Would we welcome it?  Would we dread it?  Would we be glad?  Would we be sad or devastated?

The real issue mentioned above is whether we could then be honest with ourselves, because we would come face to face with our true feelings, thoughts and attitudes of the “other” that is now our self.  Our feelings and attitudes would give our self away.

Within the awareness, within the body, within the mind or within everything of this opposite that we now are – would we feel it is a punishment? or would we feel it is a release from a prison?  or a prison sentence?  The next question becomes “Why?”  Why would we be glad? or sad?  Why would we feel it is a punishment? Why would we feel it is a release from a prison? or a prison sentence?

And there are other questions.  Are we now that which we had blamed, looked down on, hated or targeted?  Have we become someone who we would want to be?  Or are we someone who we would dread to be?

Targets

Ultimately, the question is ‘Have we ever thought, felt or acted against another person or group?  It is this person or group, who we thought, felt, or acted against that is our target.  Targeting anyone or any group is what prejudice is about.

Only when we take the journey of working on ourselves within, striving to have no one anywhere as our target – only then, do we strive to work to cleanse ourselves from prejudice of any kind- and cleanse ourselves from our judging another person or group who is not that which we individually are.

Who among us can claim we have cleansed ourselves completely of prejudice?  and then become the opposite of what we are – with no qualms or shame, or worry, with no gladness, no sadness and then go on to recognize that we are both the previous self and the opposite of our self – and both of these are our self.  Ultimately, in being prejudiced, we are only prejudiced, and have targeted, (and seek to limit, blame or hate) our own self.

Not being prejudiced is a journey of letting go of judgment of ourselves as much as it is letting go of judgment of others.  It is a journey of discovering that every one is our self, and our own self is everyone – including the ones we currently target, judge or hate.

If we choose to strive to cleanse ourselves from targeting anyone, we also strive to accept and welcome everyone as our own self and our own self as everyone – more importantly, we will have traveled a journey that leads us to accept our whole Self -that Self who contains all the opposites within one person even though the surface doesn’t show it, yet.

Is this possible to do for human beings?  As Christ said, “With God, ALL THINGS are possible.” even traveling a journey of discovering as individuals, who we really are.  With that discovery, hopefully being that we are all one another and therefore, we are all One.

Is this hard to understand? Sure, but cleansing prejudice is only done with effort to understand more things and greater things about people, than that amount we understand so far.  This takes effort and striving.

********

Changing away from prejudice is a journey of “a thousand days.”  However, on a day to day basis – taking one day at a time – it is a light switch.  It is a light switch when we realize that we targeted someone yesterday, and we can choose to not target them on this day – today – not target another person or group of people through our words, our actions or our thoughts – today.

We can turn our journey into “1000 light switches” when we take our journey one day at a time, and choose only on this day, today – with each “today” which we are given – to target no person or group of people whatsoever based on that which identifies them beyond their own character.

The Ukraine Crisis

“Hello, I would like to know how you see the Ukraine crisis developing in 2015 from a psychic point of view. It seems that Russian President Putin is volatile and dangerous. Also, we don’t know what are the plans of the US-government really are. Please tell us, if possible, your point of view. Thank you!” P.

I promise you’re not going to be satisfied with my point of view.  I could comment greatly on politics and such, but I’m not going to.  The people in the midst of the political situations are only repeating scenarios that have been played out hundreds of time during human history – history repeating itself.  The only difference is that the names have changed and the locations have changed.  But, the scenarios are the same.

Politics, as we see today in our world, will come and go, like all the other political situations that have come and gone.  Empires will rise and fall as usual.  Therefore my response to you is as I’ve said many times in this blog.

Christ spoke to Peter when he asked the same question – “What about those other people?” Christ’s response was this, “You don’t worry about them.  I’ll worry about them.  You follow me.”

This response speaks volumes to those who would try to understand it’s implications.  What he is saying is this, ‘I know all about all that is happening.  You do not, and you don’t understand what I understand.  You follow the example I’ve given you and deal with what is in front of you.’

Our purpose on this Earth is to address aspects of our self – to change our responses to life’s experiences – to bring forth patience, understanding, hope, kindness, forgiveness, mercy, love, and all Fruits of the Spirit instead of hatred, prejudice, violence, vengeance, etc.  In bringing the Fruits of the Spirit forth, we are bringing forth the Consciousness of God into the Earth.  Bringing forth the Consciousness of God through our hearts is what changes all life on the planet – and for the better.

Politics’ purpose is to further the status quo.  Bringing forth the Consciousness of God via the Spirit that exists within the heart-felt acts of kindness, mercy, patience, etc, furthers the growth and evolution of humanity.

The issue isn’t “what is happening with President Putin and the Ukraine?”  The issue is “what is happening within your and my hearts and minds.”  If nothing is happening within your and my hearts, then it doesn’t matter what happens in Russia and the Ukraine, no evolution will happen in the Earth from anything done there.  However, if we do our inner work within our own hearts and minds, then it doesn’t matter what happens in Russia and the Ukraine, because the evolution of humanity has begun in the Earth and won’t be stopped not even in Russia and the Ukraine.  When we do our inner work on ourselves within our own hearts and minds, the Consciousness of God is present with us.

What will happen in the Ukraine?  The same thing that happened when this scenario played out all the other times in human history.  Except today, we have the opportunity to pray for all soul’s and all life involved with these events.

Those souls that are prayed for have God in their presence more than those not prayed for.  And if our prayers are for all life and all souls involved with these events, then all of them will have God’s presence more than if they were not prayed for.  With God’s presence ever growing stronger in the lives of people prayed for, as well as the Earth as a whole, then perhaps history won’t repeat itself.

The Regeneration of Mankind

The Regeneration of Mankind has begun.  It extends to all mankind.  Several principles are active during this regeneration:

Those who create the problems are given the task of fixing the problems.  Everyone has done this in present and past lives.  The problems we find ourselves in the middle of – those are the problems we are to face and do our best to help.  Many times problems are the result of many, many people and can only be resolved and helped by many, many people.  We are here to do that part that we, ourselves, can help with.

Forgiveness is an act of regeneration.  The deeper in our consciousness the forgiveness happens, the deeper the regeneration. The more comprehensive the forgiveness, the more comprehensive the regeneration.  There are many more factors within forgiveness that are still to be learned.

Regeneration is for all life.

Regeneration comes through Christ (the Christ, The Christ Spirit, The Christ Consciousness)

Criticism, judgment, condemnation blocks regeneration and motivates destructive actions against others.

Regeneration is a “generation after generation” process, meaning it will happen through generational progressions.  This also means that many will struggle against it as part of the process.  But, because it will extend through many, many generations, all will be given all methods available to them for when they choose for themselves.

No one person will understand all of regeneration or what it entails.

Each person’s path of Regeneration will be unique to themselves.
