To Bring Light to a Violence-Weary World

If you’re seeing similarities between ISIS and the Nazi’s under Hitler, and wondering if you’re accurate with seeing these similarities, then you’re correct. There is a reason why we see similarities – because they are similar.

The difference is that today, we have instant reporting of the actions of ISIS, whereas in the 1930’s and 1940’s reporting was done very slowly.

In looking at this going on in our world, it is easy to follow the beat of the drum of retribution, vengeance and hatred. We see so many examples of how easy it is for some to choose violence and vengeance. For some, this will be a regular choice that they find easy to make.

But, not for all. The question for some of us isn’t whether the people of ISIS are destroying artifacts and murdering people, the question for some of us is are they destroying and murdering our spiritual paths – our paths to bring the whole world out of darkness through efforts to bring forth the LIGHT from within ourselves individually. Yes, absolutely lives matter and yes, history matters, but of what value is history if the whole world chooses the darkness of hatred and vengeance. And what do the souls who lost their lives want for us – greater darkness so this can happen to others? or perseverance to live from within the heart of our spiritual path so that this darkness is replaced with the LIGHT OF GOD.

The truth is they can’t murder or destroy our spiritual paths and spiritual efforts. However, we can do it to our own spiritual paths. When we do it, we do it voluntarily. We can destroy and murder our own spiritual paths simply by choosing the same thing they do – violence, killing, hatred, vengeance, etc.

It is times like these and events like these when holding to and practicing our spiritual paths becomes most important. It is the practice in the face of circumstances which oppose practicing the presence and guidance of Spirit when it is most effective and helpful to the world at large.

No one can force us to be hateful or vengeful or violent – off our own spiritual path – although it’s damn hard sometimes to stay on our path. If we get off our path, it is of our own freewill to act from the “lower vibrations” of hatred and vengeance, rather than act from “higher vibrations” of patience, openness, perseverance and long suffering – holding onto the hand of the Still, Small Voice within – walking with the One who promises healing of more than just ourselves, if we hold out – persevere – to the end.

We’re all in this together. There are many of us seeking to hold on to our spiritual paths in the face of hatred, violence and vengeance. So, keep on keeping on. Choose life not death. Hold to the Light, when all around seems to be darkness. Join with others, pray, meditate, practice the presence of God. With our effort to live from a greater Spirit, we will help to bring Light to a violence-weary world.

Prejudice of Ages

How silly humanity in general has been with so many years of prejudice against people involved in interracial marriages, same sex marriages, cross-cultural marriages, mixed political marriages, this or that marriage, and on and on and on.

Unlearning prejudice found in any human experience or human arena is a slow process.  The prejudices come from learned fears, from desire to fit in, from the desire to be loved and approved from those who are supposed to love us, and from our own past life experiences with different races and subcultures – whether those past experiences are cooperative or combative.

Many, many, many, many times, the prejudice and hatred comes from past life connections where there are still grudges and resentments towards a particular group or people.  Acts like “raids on groups”, raiding, pillaging and killing in wars, make for many prejudices.  All races and groups have been targeted at some time in some way, and many different groups have been slaves or bought and sold. Sometimes, in human history all that was required to be enslaved was to be defeated in battle.

Many groups have been perceived as second class, lower class, or lower caste, and these experiences sometimes are hard to go through.  Still others use these experiences to justify their vendetas, grudges or resentments or even to build new ones.

So, it will take time for prejudice to heal.  Since it can come from very real damage and harm done to each other in the past.  And each person will have to resolve it in their own time within their own heart, mind and soul.  Do you think?  This is also a contributing factor in the Middle Eastern conflicts and in the attack of 9-11.

What is interesting is that there is no one on this planet that has NOT experienced being on the receiving end of prejudice.  Everyone has, whether based on race, religion, gender, financial situation, spiritual belief, disability, weight, physical features, ethnicity, sexual preference, sometimes their job, etc.  And I say this regardless of whether we may see how that possibly could be true “for that other person over there who looks way better off than I am.” (Having this thought is a symptom of prejudice.)

I can go into a room of any number of people and show you how each person has been singled out in at least 3 different ways, just by being who they are.  Women, men, black, white, brown, red, Hispanic, Asian, European, Native American, Christians, Jews, Muslims, tall, short, small, large – no group has been free from being on the receiving end of hatred, disrespect, fear, attack, ridicule, different types of abuse and the like because of their group – even psychics.  Yes, there are groups that have predominately received recent prejudice, but all groups of peoples and different subcultures have received it at some time in the past, and even now in the present.

Prejudice has been the source of much human pain and suffering.  Pain and suffering is something that no human ever escapes.  Jesus Christ didn’t escape pain and suffering then or now, and Robin Williams didn’t escape pain and suffering, either.  Pray for all who suffer – whether on this side of the veil or the other.  When we are in pain and suffering, we tend to strike out at whomever we think is the cause.  This is the birth of prejudice.  Pray for all who are in pain.

Wars and Rumors of Wars

“Obama seems to be becoming a neo-con nightmare – jailing truthtellers, bombing other countries indiscriminately and now possibly starting WW3 with his insistence on attacking Syria. Will this start another world war? Will the US back off last minute? Did the rebels use chemical weapons at all?”  L.

L., try not to let the actions of any other person move you off of your desire to hold onto your own higher principles.  Remember, it’s not who is in political power who will save this world.  It’s who is in spiritual power who will save this world.  Hold to this.   And, yes, it takes great work and effort to do just that.

Freewill will never be taken away from anyone.  And this means that war comes only because people want war to come, and therefore choose it.  The U.S. went to war in Iraq because the people of this country, in general, the greater majority – through their own freewill – wanted war.  You can be sure if no citizen anywhere – not a single one – wanted war, war would not happen.  I repeat, war happens, because that’s what so many of the people want, and therefore choose ***with their own freewill.***

Look at the political scene we have in the U.S. and in the world.  People argue and throw insults across at the other side, because, ***of their own freewill*** people choose to argue and throw insults across to the other side believing it will serve them in some way.  People choose insults and ridicule to be thrown at the other side in the same way that people choose bombs and bullets to be thrown at the other side.  And so, when people choose fighting, ***of their own freewill*** God will not get in the way, nor force Himself upon us.  In addition, here in the U.S. as in so many other countries, the will of the political leader is only an extension of the collective will of the people of the country.

Gas prices during the 2010’s

Gas prices in the U.S. will slowly continue to rise.  No one should be surprised by this.  There will be a spike in the price going up over $6/gal. to around $6.50 in some parts of the country sometime in late 2014 to Feb. of 2015.  The spike will be an anomoly and will last no more than 2 weeks – but most likely 11 days.  The government will step in to bring the price back down to it’s pre-spike price.  The price will eventually reach about $4.50/gal on average throughout the U.S. through the 2010 decade.  By 2020, we will see $5.00/gal as a regular price in some areas.

The lowest the spike could be is $5.50/gal.,  with the pre- and post- price being $4.00/gallon.  The differing numbers depends on the behavior and choices of Americans up to that time.

The price increase will be 95% directly driven by oil prices coming out of OPEC.  How much of a price increase will be 85% dependent on American consumers.

Iraq

The next president will take 4 years to remove 70% of the troops we have in Iraq (up to 2012).  The remaining 30% will gradually be reduced in Iraq until 2017, with but a few stragglers at that point.  2012 will come with 30% remaining, 2013 will arrive with 24%, 2014, will see 20%, 2015 will see 16%, 2016 will see 5-6% left, and 2017 will see less than 1% of the current troop level remaining in Iraq.  If the next president has 2 terms, it will take this person all 8 years to remove all but the last of the troops.  99% of all the troops that are there now.

Saudia Arabia

Tensions will rise in Saudi Arabia with it’s neighbors to the east. It will start in 2007, but will be extremely volatile for 3 years after then – up to 2010. Whatever is happening in 2005, it will double and triple in 2007. It will stay at that level until issues are resolved in 2010.

I don’t see it escalating to the break out of war.

Israel

<>Israel and the nations surrounding it will be a center of unrest for 30 more years. As mentioned before, around 2006-2007 there will be a peace-making event for the Middle East and it will be a great thing, but the peace will last a few months. Things will start getting better in 2025. It will then be a 10-year process for the Middle East to become a peaceful arena. There will be an accord being reached and the Middle East will become a peaceful area by 2035. (Added 8/10/05).

<>Reported on 6/11/07, a cease fire had been in effect from the end of 2006 and lasted a few months before fighting started again.  Another cease fire had been agreed upon in May, 2007, but only lasted 1 week.  (Added 6/11/07)

Middle East

In General, the Middle East will continue to be a hotbed of fighting until 2028 when the peace process will begin and will be visible.  Those involved will begin to make headway until about 2035, when real and lasting peace will come to the region. Except for minor events, this peace will continue for the rest of the century. (Added 8/10/05)

The peace will be a guarded peace, where compromise brings acceptance of the belief that even a “compromise” peace is better than even more violence, death and destruction, in a place that has had nothing but this for so long.  (Added 12/12/2006)
